What is Crystal XP Brico Pack ??

Crystal XP Shell Pack is a complete custom shell pack for all Windows XP.
It consists of modified icons and a new themed appearance for Windows XP. After installing this shell pack, your computer will look like those screenshots






Why Universal BricoPack ??

BricoPack is the name of a new generation of Shell Pack.
Until now, Crystal XP Shell Pack had some drawbacks:
- The Shell Pack could work only on a specific version of Windows XP (Without Service Pack, SP1 or SP2)
- The Shell Pack could work only on a specific OS language (English, French or German). It was not possible to use a French Shell Pack on an English Windows XP
- You couldn’t use Windows Update (because some customized icons disappeared)

Now, with BricoPack, those problems are corrected!!! Thanks to Bricomix for his excellent work!


- This pack is universal, he works on all Windows XP (perhaps even Windows 2003, but that has not been tested yet).
- Auto installation of the visual style, but it is possible to choose if you want to apply it or not during the installation.
- Update function : if you use Windows Update, original Windows XP icons will reappear. With BricoPack Update Function, you can re-apply the shell pack with a simple click!
- Replacement of the files during the restarting of your computer, which makes it possible to completely avoid the problem of the files on use.
- Auto refresh of the icon cache.

BricoPack System is actually on Release Candidate 1, what means that it still can bug in spite of the significant number of tests already carried out on our side. Despite everything, I thank you for report all problems which you will encounter on the CrystalXP forum.


Here is a list of known bugs at the moment for the RC1 version :
-HardDrive Space used by the shell pack which is noted during the installation is wrong.
-Some folders will not be erased during the uninstallation

qualcuno sa come faccio una volta scaricate delle nuove icone o dei nuovi temi ad applicarli?.....ho provato a smanettare ma...non ho trovato tipo un pannello di controllo..o simile..

Comunque di questo tema veramente fantastico, a mio modestissimo e personale parere la barra delle applicazioni potrebbe essere leggermente migliorata (non so come spiegarlo, forse è troppo.."piatta" )
Ribadisco però che è un lavoro davvero molto bello

Funziona col Service Pack 2?

Una volta installato il brico pack modifica la lingua nei menu, nelle guide, ecc. o rimane tutto in lingua italiana?

col service pack2 funziona e la lingua rimane uguale,ho comunque avuto degli strani problemi di rete ma forse non dipendevano dal pack,ciao.
