You are correct that Premiere (Pro) uses CUDA for GPU acceleration. However, you completely missed the fact that there are many other operations in Premiere that make heavy use of the CPU - and that many of those operations make heavy use of the SSE 4.1 and SSE 4.2 instructions that the AMD CPUs either do not fully support (the Phenoms and earlier) or are relatively weak at handling (FX series).

For the record, one of the systems that are among the 439 Intel-powered systems that ranked higher than the highest-ranked FX CPU is a totally stock entry-level Sandy Bridge i5-2400 that's on a really cheapo and limited H61 motherboard that doesn't support overclocking at all whatsoever. As a result, the FX-8150 (at least in its current version) is just plain pound-foolish, especially when a cheaper and totally stock i5 beats that FX-8150 (and the FX-8150 is overclocked, at that!) in overall performance in Premiere.

Non c'è che dire il mondo del montaggio semiprofessionale ha accolto proprio bene le novità amd

Direi che troppo presto per paralre di amd in casa Adobe almeno finchè non avranno implementato per bene le open cl e siano usciti con qualcosa di migliore delle FX attuali

ho letto di sfruggita ma il sig. di adobe se consglia un i5 ad un fx8xx0 forse nn ha capito bene che il suo software il multithred lo sfrutta

Ragazzi, siete una miniera di informazioni... e un sacco di tempo da dedicarvi per approfonrie un po' ( ).

Allora ho dato una bella spulciata alle info che mi avete girato e spingerò per il momento sulle versioni più spinte proposte da Deus-Ex... Unico dubbio che verificherò sabato è il formato della mobo che credo sia m-atx

PS: ok che premiere sfrutta cuda e quindi vga=nvidia, ma il resto dei sw si allineano sugli stessi requisiti?

Le cose dovrebbero muoversi in futuro verso le opencl attualmente dipende un po' dalle applicazioni.
Una'applicazione di cui si parlava molto bene era EDIUS di GrassValley una dei pochi a software che all'epoca sfruttasse a dovere il quick sync. I risultati in termini di velocità erano incredibili.

Quello riguarda un particolare ovvero un tipo di conversione, mentre il sig. Adobe si riferisce all'esperienza complessiva d'uso con Premiere...ci sono cose ottimizzate e cose che non lo sono...e come saprai anche in photoshop l'open cl è limitata ad alcune operazioni e filtri...

@DalBaCH da questi discorsi si evince chiaramente che la migliore soluzione è un i7... cmq prendi questo i5-3450 e vai tranquillo... io non lo farei e non lo consiglierei mai per un 10% di editing... ma il mondo è bello perchè è vario
