il tuo monitor è molto flessibile ha un intervallo 30-96KHz oriz e 50-160KHz vert
quando hai scelto una configurazione intermedia non dovrebbe avere problemi prova ad avviarlo anche in modalita nonfb per l'aggiornamento della 9 io l'ho fatto a suo tempo e va benissimo solo che fino a martedi non puoi fare l'agiornamento perche mancano dei file importanti che stanno sviluppano ho fatto una segnalazione e mi hanno risposto che saranno disponibili il 12-13/ 5 questo sulla cooker sulla mandrake 9.1 base puoi provare

Però usando il comando "grep error (EE)" e "grep warning (WW)" sul log XFree86 oppure su quello in /etc/X11/X...-4 (non ircordo quale dei 2!) ho trovato qualche info che magair potrebbe aiutarvi a darmi delle dritte, infatti mi dice: (WW)OPTION "XkbCompat" require an string value (WW)OPTION "XkbOptions" require an string value (WW)RADEON(0): Bad V_Bios checksum > selezionando i driver vesa da te suggeriti il risultato non cambia molto, è praticamente los tesso: (WW)VESA(0): Bad V_Bios checksum Da queste info deduci qualcosa? Ciao e scusate se continuo a rompere! ![]() ![]() PS: potrebbe essere il mouse a creare problemi? Andando a vedere un altro log avevo letto qualcosa del tipo "avvio del server nonostante il mouse non funzioni..." magari è il mio trust ottico-senza fili che crea problemi? non credo ma proverò mettendo un PS2 normale adesso! |

potrebbe essere anche il mouse
per quegli errori non ci si puo' trovare molto sembra dire che non riesce a recuperare informazioni dall'hardware ma hai scelto xfree4.3 alla fine della configurazione ??? per i monitor non immettere le frequenze manualmente cerca una configurazione generica 31.5 - 35 o anche maggiore stesso discorso per il verticale io ho un acer fp563 e nella configurazione metto il 561 perche il mio non c'è e va benissimo prova da consolle a digitare urpmi -a per vedere se ti installa i file mancanti se vuoi c'è la possibilità di aggiungere la fonti web anche da consolle c'è da installare un programmino scaricabile da internet oppure scrivere manualmente questa riga urpmi.addmedia main ftp://ftp.club-internet.fr/pub/unix/linux/distributions/Mandrake/9.1/i586/Mandrake/RPMS with ../base/hdlist.cz poi prova un urpmi --auto-select per aggiornare il tutto

nel caso che fosse anche un problema di kde e prova a diminuire da 24 a 16 i bit

![]() ed è strano perche' quelli sono pacchetti di base che il sistema dovrebbe installare automaticamente quindi prima cosa fai ripartire l'installazione e scegli aggiornamento selezionado scelta personalizzata installa perl e se hai spazio il software per lo sviluppo e altro software in generale il problema semba essere il monitor che va continuamente out of range quindi devi insistere li provando vari tipi di monitor scegli un generic con le risoluzioni di default del tuo io comunque rifarei l'installazione daccapo installerei personalizzando l'installazione piu' softwere e mi soffermerei al momento delle configurazioni finali a fare da li la configurazione video cliccando il pulsante "fare" e da li provare le varie configurazioni fino a che non appare la schermata grigia con il messaggio di conferma che ha trovato il monitor e la configurazione ideale se non appare la schermata riclicca "fare" e cambia monitor ![]()

Ieri ho tolto tutto e ho rimesso Mdk 9.0, e come prevedevo con questa funziona tutto alla grande!
![]() ![]() Permettetemi di dire che quei cazzoni che han fatto l'"upgrade" a 9.1 han lasciato per strada qualche particolare (tipo qualche driver o comunque han peggiorato qualcosa in termini di comapatibilità... tenendo conto che comunque ho una 8500LE comunissima insieme a un comunissimo monitor, che tra l'altro non è nemmeno compreso nell'elenco dei monitor ![]() Al momento di fare l'aggiornamento via Internet mi ha trovato 1.3Gb di roba! ![]() ![]() ![]() > dopo l'installazione di questo mega-paccone di upgrade da circa 1GB, posso dire che la mia mdk 9.0 è praticamente diventata a tutti gli effetti una mdk 9.1? Oppure alcune delle modifiche + importanti che ha subito la 9.1 non posso scaricarle e quindi implementarle nella mia 9.0? che ne dite? E' anche vero che se la 9.0 in questo modo (e cioè dopo l'upgrade) diventasse a tutti gli effetti una 9.1 potrebbe non partire di nuovo più X... ![]() ![]() > seconda domanda: Debian aggiornata via internet all'ultimissima versione ha Xfree 4.2 vero? io l'ho fatto questo upgrade prima che uscisse la 9.1 ed andava benissimo anche se qualcosa della 9 rimane (la differenza è minima) dopo l'upgrade devi solo installare il nuovo kernel che non mette di default da se ma è semplicissimo basta installarlo con urpmi ti dovrebbe mettere automaticamente una voce a lilo
quello è importante perche il nuovo kernel va davvero bene non so come mai ti ha fatto tutti questi problemi (io insisto sui cde mi scaricherei i cd dal sito di mandrake pre riprovare) per terminare l'aggiornamento digita da root urpmi --auto-select ti scarica i file mancanti e ti installa il tutto l'udate di mandrake serve per gli aggiornamenti della 9.1 non per la 9 con questi mega upgrade puo succedere che il sistema abbia qualche problemino l'importante è trovare gli ftp che vanno se comincia a non trovare dei pacchetti conviene eliminare le fonti di software e ricrearle con il solito sistema cerca dove è possibile di mettere gli ftp di club.internet.fr che non danno grossi problemi per la debian puoi anche mettere xfree4.3 pero devi mettere nel sources.list questa riga deb http://penguinppc.org/~daniels/sid/i386 ./ altrimenti con la sid avrai solo xfree4.2.1

http://andycaps.altervista.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3 c'è una guida rapida all'uso di urpmi e all'utilizzo delle fonti web (non aggiornare alla cooker perche in questi giorni stanno aggiornando pacchetti di base e l'aggiornamento non funziona mandrake 91ha xfree4.3 la mandrake 9 ha xfree4.2.1 la sid se non metti repository particolari ti mette il 4.2.1 il kernel se aggiorni con le repository on line te lo trovi in installazione pacchetti quando hai fatto mandrake update ti ha scaricato (credo) gli aggiornamenti per la 9 se ti ha aggiornato alla 9.1 quando fa il boot ti dice startig 9.1 (controlla) con le fonti on line hai a disposizione molto piu' software anche non free completamente
