Personalmente vi posso dire che rispetto ad un vecchio D-Link 302T con immagine moddata questo Asus aggancia in media circa 8000 kbps di portante - Alice 7 mega - contro i 6500 kbps del precedente modem.
Raramente ho problemi di disconnessioni - portante sempre up - per questo mi piacerebbe avere un indicatore di uptime dettagliato.

cosa significa disturbata?
Io a casa mia nello status del router zyxel (sempre acceso) leggo che l'adsl è sempre up. A volte con 100 e più ore continuative. Basta questo per non considerarla disturbata?
Oppure il fatto che la portante non supera i 3-4 mega è un indice di disturbo della linea ADSL?
parti dal fatto che non esiste un router ideale per tutte le linee , ma un router che meglio si adatta alla tua .
bisognerebbe provare diversi router ma non sempre si puo' visto i costi

non hai specificato il modello zyxel ...?
e non hai esposto i dati di linea. snr ecc. fondamentali
intanto i zyxel sono ottimi e spesso venivano consigliati nelle linee molto lunghe e disturbate . AR7 (sarebbe il suo chipset) ne vecchi modelli era una roccia.
ora broadcom (chipset) montato su altre marche e modelli è molto stabile e per le linee problematiche vanno molto bene . telecom usa questo chipset nei suoi modem non a caso.

Ragazzi, sto impazzendo per configurare le mie ipcam con questo router, pesrino con fastweb c'ho messo 1 minuto per configurarle, ma con questo Asus non ci riesco proprio.
Mi spiego meglio: apro le porte e se collego la telecamera con cavo lan, funziona tutto, anche con no-ip da altro dispositivo, il problema è quando stacco il cavo lan e voglio utilizzarle con wifi, praticamente il router non si accoppia, nonostante dalle impostazioni della ip cam abbia cercato e settato in maniera giusta la rete wifi.
Ho aggiornato anche all'ultimo firmware il router, ho fatto hard reset, ma niente.
la ipcam l'ho settata con un ip fisso, così son certo che quando passa al wifi resta lo stesso ip con il rispettivo port forwarding aperto.

Dove sbaglio?

hai provato a staccare le protezioni wpa del wifi? magari fa fatica ad agganciare per via delle autenticazioni..
provato a cambiare canale? provato a cambiare preambolo? settare in G e non N?
ora, non ho ben presente come tu possa configurare le ip camera, via ip tipo router?
sicuri d'aver settato tutto giusto?

sicuro che la ipcamera via wifi ci arrivi? perché il segnale deve anche tornare, non solo andare!

Semplicemente ti cade la connessione, la portante non credo.
Io farei una chiamata al tuo provider e proverei un altro modem. I valori sono buoni, ma le disconnessioni non dipendono da ciò.

Grazie per la risposta, ora provo a fare queste modifiche, anche perchè il problema sembra proprio l'accoppiamento con wifi

EDIT: funziona grazie!! (disabilitato b/g protection)

Cambiare modem mi dispiacerebbe da matti perche con questo, quando non cade, mi trovo davvero divinamente..

Ciao a tutti, posto in questa stanza perchè sono intenzionato a comprare questo router della Asus. Ho ora un Sitecom di circa 5 anni fà modello wl-127 che "credo" inizia a dare dei problemi con gestore Alice adsl 7 mega. Ho messo credo tra virgolette perchè non capisco se sia il router o la linea di casa. Abito in una casa indipendente e stamattina ho fatto una prova ho collegato direttamente il router Sitecom al cavo principale che mi entra in casa scollegando il cavo che poi porta il segnale a tutti gli apparecchi telefonici. I risultati che mi dà di SNR sono divisi in downstream e upstream e sono molto diversi tra loro, vorrei sapere da voi come mai ho db basso in downstream e se con Asus avrei dei problemi. Premetto che perdita di segnale in 6 anni di Alice sono state eccezioni, però vorrei capire come leggere i risultati. Grazie.
p.s dimenticavo circa 4 anni fà mi son fatto cambiare la caratterista da interleaved in fast.

Problema usb

Salve ragazzi sono nuovo e alle prime armi con il router in qustione,il proble che ho notato e che installato DM e il media server e collegando naturalmente Hdd via usb. Il problema nasce qua se hdd è scollegato allora posso navigare su internet, se ho Usb e collegato Booom la connessione rallenta cosi tanto che è impossibile navigare persino diventa impossibile aprire le pagine c'è una soluzione a questo problema?
Come faccio funzionare il servizio ftp se con hdd collegato non naviga?
qualcuno ha risolto

si lo so il wifi non va , nel senso quando ho 4 o 5 apparecchi collegati ed uno è in download a MANETTA , il wifi si riavvia "si spengono e riaccendono le lucine sul router" e su tutto quello collegato mi va ovviamente via il segnale

che larghezza di banda conviene tenere settata nei parametri del wifi 20/40 ?

sto provando a smanettare sulla configurazione ho messo un canale fisso , mentre prima avevo su auto

salve, dato che ho una voglia incredibile di sbattere il mio digicom michelangelo wave 150c al muro tipo per via dei tanti problemi che mi da tipo router che si blocca, scarsissima copertura wifi con conseguente lentezza nella navigazione, riavvii mentre vedo un video su youtube dallo smartphone o dal tablet o se scarico qualcosa o se navigo, o se gioco, o se mi connetto.. insomma problemi infiniti che non so descrivere stavo pensando quindi di prendere l'asus dsl n55u tra una/due settimane (non il 1° aprile chiaramente) e sostituirlo al router che tengo adesso. Voglio un router molto affidabile con chiaramente un wifi moolto stabile e con ottima copertura dato che devo coprire un appartamento da 10 stante circa di cui due molto grandi e che si trovano dall'altra parte dell'appartamento rispetto al router. Volevo quindi chiedere solo se mi conviene prenderlo o puntare su qualcos'altro. grazie
