No, con lilo no, ma documentandomi ho visto che dà lo stesso problema...

Penso di aver trovato il controller:
Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller: se ne parla anche qua:

Ma se disattivassi il controller da bios, a cosa andrei incontro?
Solo ad un calo di prestazioni o a ben altro?

È molto strano che non funzioni. I controller intel sono supportati molto bene, io stesso ne ho uno simile sul mio portatile e non ho avuto problemi. Che versione di ubuntu stai provando ad installare?

Controlla in quale modalità è impostato il controllare dal BIOS. Guarda se c'è una modalità compatibile IDE...di solito si possono impostare come AHCI o IDE.

Ciao, ho installato da qualche giorno la nuova versione ma ho fatto una bischerata decidendo di installare Automatix2. Infatti mi sono accorto che non funziona. Il problema è che ora non riesco a rimuoverlo e tutto ciò mi comporta un malfunzionamento nel gestore dei pacchetti Adept (almeno credo che il problema sia questo).

Accedendo a Adept e scegliendo l'opzione rimuovi, dopo aver applicato mi compare questo messaggio: Errore durante il deposito delle modifiche. Probabilmente c'è stato un problema nello scaricamento di alcuni pacchetti oppure il deposito delle modifiche potrebbe rovinare i pacchetti.

Ora questo messaggio mi compare anche se scelgo di aggiornare o installare nouve applicazioni.

Avete qualche consiglio ???

Altro problema:

non c'è verso di installare amsn. allora l'ho scaricato dal sito e ho eseguito da terminale ./configure

Ma ecco cosa mi succede:

Non mi convince il comportamento di firestarter.
Appena installato, non dovrebbe bloccarmi tutto? Invece continuo a navigare, ascoltare musica, chattare....
Non è solo dopo aver impostato le regole di traffico in entrata e avendo così impostato cosa può entrare, iniziare a funzionare il tutto?

Ecco spiegato il perchè (credo): Nella lista delle connessioni attive, ce le ho tutte come sorgente il mio pc e come destinazione l'indirizzo remoto.

Ma è normale una cosa del genere?
