Enemy Territory: Quake Wars may have corruption on the water and sky after increasing the game resolution. Quello che mi preme e' la stabilita'...per ora ho fatto alcuni bench e sembra tutto ok .... ora inizio a provare CoD4 e crysis e prego!!!

Installati e provati al posto degli hotfix 8.4 con GRAW2 e Call OF Duty 4 vanno esattamente uguale agli hotfix.

Anche per questa release sono previsti degli hotfix per le schede agp?
Perchè con gli 8.3 il pc crashava una volta si e l'altra pure.
Se non ci sono problemi li installo altrimenti mi tengo gli 8.3 fixati con cui ho trovato la pace.

Veramente, per quanto riguarda le AGP, Ati ha smesso di interessarsi anche a quelle recenti (ma non di proporle sugli scaffali.....), le AGP Hotfix sono sviluppate da AMD.

Inoltre, c'é una cosa che mi sconcerta: le AGP non sono supportate? Benissimo, le rimuovi dall'elenco nelle release notes dei driver, se qualcuno avvia il pacchetto blocchi subito l'installazione avvertendo l'utente, e soprattutto, nella pagina di ricerca dei driver metti il link a quelli funzionanti, che potrebbero non essere gli ultimi.

E invece no, c'é questa presa per i fondelli. Ho provato a cercare gli Hotfix AGP per Catalyst 8.4 sul sito AMD e non li ho trovati. Gli ultimi sono questi:

State facendo confusione... non esiste alcun "agp hotfix"... esistono driver "beta" (completi) che risolvono alcune problematiche rilevate su alcune configurazioni agp con i driver 8.2 e 8.3... non è che adesso ad ogni uscita dei driver debbano per forza fare la versione "corretta", se non ce n'è bisogno!...

Io comunque ho una x1950pro agp e non ho mai avuto nessun problema con nessuna versione dei driver...

HD3850 agp sta invadendo il mercato e fra poco la hd3870 agp
poi io non pretendo migliorie ma che funzioni la x800!

Mah, la cosa mi sorprende, io avevo una X1600PRO AGP, e fino alla 7.7 anch'io non ho avuto problemi. Con i 7.8 molte icone del desktop non venivano visualizzate (ma erano selezionabili), con i 7.9 le icone erano visualizzabili, ma avviare qualsiasi applicazione direct3D comportava sistematicamente il crash dell'applicazione con relativo messaggio di errore.Dopodiché l'ho venduta. Dal mio punto di vista non si tratta di "alcune problematiche", ma piuttosto di una completa perdita delle funzionalitá di base.
Alcuni ai tempi avevano contattato il supporto tecnico, e la risposta era stata che la piattaforma AGP era ormai datata, per cui il supporto sarebbe avvenuto sporadicamente solo in alcune release dei driver.

Ma il problema non é questo: i 7.8 e i 7.9 non funzionano sulla X1600 PRO AGP? Va bene, nella pagina Web di download metti una sezione separata per la X1600 PRO AGP, in cui viene proposto il download dei 7.7. Non é difficile, ed é una cosa che altri produttori fanno.

Per inciso, il vizietto non riguarda solo le schede AGP, tempo fa per trovare i driver di una Radeon integrata nella MB sono dovuto procedere a ritroso nell'archivio fino a quando non ho trovato quelli compatibili. Il sito della Ati mi proponeva l'ultima versione dei Catalyst IGP, che non funzionavano.

il mio sistema potete leggerlo in sign, da quando ho messo gli 8.3 il gioco Colin McRae Dirt mi flickera con questi 8.4 la cosa è tale e quale ci sta qualche particolare impostazione per risolvere il problema?
