DDR Dual channel va o non va?
Ho montato un pc con scheda madre GigaByte GA8IPE 1000 pro 2
processore Intel P4 prescott 2.8 2 banchi RAM 256 M DDR Nonostante li abbia posizionati sul 1 e 3 slot all'avvio il BIOS non segnala che i 512M sono in Dual Channel. Qualcuno ha un'idea di come fare ad impostarlo manualmente, magari dal BIOS, oppure devo preoccuparmi perchè c'è qualcosa di guasto o incompatibile? Molto spesso si risolve il problema flashando il bios della mobo!
Possedevo una Gigabyte GA7N400L nForce 2 400 ultra ed con il bios prioritario non visualizzava, durante il post, l'effettivo dual channel! Aggiornando il bios con versioni successive invece tutto ok (DDR dual channel enabled)! Se comunque non vuoi aggiornare il bios (perche' magari ti funziona tutto ok) utilizza cpu-z ed alla sezione memoria ti visualizzera' se effettivamente è attivato il dual channel! Ciao Mirmeleon |

niente da fare...
ho aggiornato anche il bios... ho provato a spostare le ram invece che sul 1 e sul 3 anche sul 2 e 4 slot... per assurdo ho provato anche sul 1 e 2 slot.. Niente il pc all'avvio segnala che i 512 mb di ram sono in sigle channel... Suggerimenti? |

Ma perche' non usi cpu-z come ti e' stato suggerito?

... mi ero dimenticato di aggiungere nel precedente post che ovviamente ho già provveduto a scaricare ed installare il programma CPU-Z che però restituisce solo l'attuale stato di funzionamento (single channel) delle RAM. Non mi sembra che questo programma riesca a modificare la configurazione della memoria.
