dopo 3 tentativi di installare wmp11 sul note di mio padre,mi sono arreso...
non c'è verso di portare al termine l'installazione,come messagio di errore mi spunta questo http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...nalid=80070005

girando un pò su google ho trovato che la causa potrebbe essere questa:
Se il vostro wmsetup.log contiene l'errore “0x80070005„: Ciò è “errore: Accesso negato.„ Questo significa che i permessi di registrazione sulle chiavi di registro HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ WMPlayer.OCX o HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ WMPlayer.OCX.7 probabilmente sono regolati male.
Credo che questo sia dovuto ai programmi overzealous della anti-malware fornito da terze parti.
Potete riparare questo errore cancellando o cambiando il titolo di quelle chiavi di registro.
Ora l'installazione di WMP11 dovrebbe poter maneggiare le chiavi bloccate in precedenza, quindi completando l'installazione senza problemi.

Se non può, dovreste guardare la parte inferiore del log in c:\windows\updspapi.log.
Quello dovrebbe dirgli che che modifica di chiave di registrazione ha provocato “l'accesso è negato„. Allora dovreste dare l'accesso a quella chiave di registrazione… o cambiarla titolo almeno per la durata dell'installazione del WMP cercare “l'errore 5„ in updspapi.log.

andando nelle suddette chiavi ho dato tutti i permessi a tutti(administrators,system,user,owner,ecc) ma purtroppo non è cambiato nulla
stavo pensando se fosse possibile togliere le suddette chiavi facendo prima un backup del registro con esporta o un punto di ripristino per essere più sicuro...
se le cancello dovrei fare riferimento anche alle relative cartelle,se sì dove le trovo?in un modo o nell'altro vorrei venirne a capo...

ps:si potrebbe tentare anche un'installazione da provvisoria?

grazie socio ,vengo proprio da quel link,infatti la spiegazione delle chiavi .ocx l'ho presa proprio da lì
solo che mi sono bloccato quando dice si segarle per adesso ho solo modificato i permessi,dando libero accesso a tutti...
Procedendo secondo quel link al post numero 3 dice di piallare le chiavi,a questo punto se la procedura è quella,il backup del registro con esporta l'ho già fatto,ne faccio un altro con un programma per pulire il registro che già ho installato,il punto di ripristino già ce l'ho,dici che dovrei usare pure erunt?
oppure dobbiamo saltare e andare al post numero 9 dove propone la patch?
ps:il so è win xp home...

bah...aggiornare la java machine male non fà ma non credo sia quello il problema l'estensione jar è di WMP.Comunque dovresti controllare i vari aggiornamenti fatti al note di tuo padre e vedere se quella patch nominata in quel forum non ci sia già.Per le chiavi potrebbe essere un tentativo ,però rifai back up poco prima dell'operazione che è meglio OK?

java l'ho aggiornato,ma il problema persiste...
ora provo a vedere se c'è la patch,in caso la installo...

La faccenda che mi dicevi,era di un utente che non riusciva neanche a fare rirpristino del sistema (il command prompt) visto che aveva combinato qualche casino..E gli suggerivano di farlo da prompt dos dei comandi(rstrui.exe) in provvisoria.....tutto qui.Ma quelle modifiche le hai più fatte al registro?

ma cmq ho provato a fare direttamente anche con l'update che mi proponeva all'apertura del 10...

ci rinuncio!!!
1)modificati i permessi delle chiavi incriminate
2)eliminate le suddette(poi tutto ok col restore )
3)installate entrambe le patchs
4)provato in provvisoria(disattivando il pacco sicurezza,come in normale...)
direi che può bastare
se magari quando spuntava l'errore microsoft mi avesse dato uno di quei link dettagliati dove ti spiegano cause e possibili soluzioni,magari ci sarei riuscito,ma così è una lotta impari...
cmq socio ti ringrazio di vero cuore anche stavolta
e una stretta di mano sincera riesce a cancellare più di mille fatture
