Ora si crea un precedente importante, un gioco single player che contiene una data di scadenza.

I "depot" e le "branches" sono a totale discrezione dello sviluppatore.

Ci sono giochi che non hanno rollback del tutto, giochi che ne hanno uno solo (Kerbal, ad esempio), giochi che hanno un rollback per decine di patch (Euro Truck Simulator 2)

quindi Steam sulla funzionalità dei giochi che vende non ha nessun tipo di "potere"?
a parte il blocco della vendita intendo.

Non e' una giustificazione per danneggiare i clienti. Mi dispiace per lui, posto che sia vero. Tra silenzi, fix che hanno richiesto mesi, accuse di frodi fiscali...

Che io sappia no... Poi, se hanno dei repository non visibili... Dovrebbero avere un copia di backup di ogni gioco....

Per ora solo Gog lo fa.

ho visto qualche giorno fa, ma mi pare anche di aver letto nel forum di oovee che uno è riuscito a creare un fix per le prossime timebomb che coprono mi pare un paio di mesi...

We are aware of recent press speculation relating to sabotage of the spintires game by the lead developer Pavel. We wish to express our displeasure at this speculation and totally refute these and other recent allegations. It is a shame that some press are reporting this without talking to us, and even saying in some articles they are yet to talk to us.

The situation on the bug is that we became aware of a major bug last week that caused the game to stop for some users. We have been working on this with Pavel since it came up.

Progress on the next planned update has been suspended while we sort the bug issue.

We believe we have now identified the problem and are now testing at this very moment a hot fix provided by Pavel, who is also ready to help further if needed. We're fully focused now on making the game work properly again, so please allow us to get this sorted first and we'll then be able to explain what has caused this and then carry on with future updates we have planned .

Di sicuro è che non è al momento acquistabile e la modifica non risulta da Steamdb ergo ha provveduto Valve... qui gatta ci cova...

si anche perche' quella dichiarazione suona un po' come "chiedere all'oste se il vino e' buono"...

visto che oove e' solo il publisher, ma il gioco in realta' da quello che ho capito l'ha tirato su pavel, se il casino e' venuto fuori a causa dei mancati pagamenti, al limite sarebbe il caso di sentire qualcosa dallo sviluppatore, e non da chi secondo voci gli deve dei soldi.

a me spiace, perche' tecnicamente e' un gioiellino... ci sono cose migliorabili, ma e' ottimizzato molto bene, e il motore grafico e fisico e' notevole.

First we apologize again for the recent issue causing crashing of spintires and the delay in resolving this.

We are pleased to say we have now released a fix for the recent crash onto Steam.

In the next few days we will release a full and frank statement regarding the cause of the problem and how we plan to avoid this happening again, as well as details of the next update we have been working on since the start of 2016 which we plan to start testing next week.

For now follow the instructions below and start to play Spintires again!

1. If Steam is running, exit Steam before follwing these steps.
2. If you applied the dll fix made by forum user Localhost that was on the forum, please remove it first.
3. Start Steam and it should automatically download the update.
4. Now start the game, it should display 03-03-2016 in the bottom left corner.

If you have mods or custom changes and face any problems after trying the above please follow the steps below:

1. Shut down Steam
2. Go to Steam folder and then to steamapps\common\Spintires\Media and temporary move ALL your mods to other directory (also delete any dump files you might find)
3. By default it is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Spintires\
4. Press combination Logo Windows + R, enter %appdata%\Spintires and click OK
5. Delete all subfolders and files except UserSaves (this will reset your config)
6. Run Steam
7. If the game was already updated please verify local game files, otherwise wait until automatic update is applied
8. Run the game
9. Re-add your mods

beh dai non ci hanno nemmeno messo tantissimo a risolvere........

cmq al solito tutta una mega bufala tirata su dai "giornalisti" (cialtroni sarebbe un termine più appropriato) dell'ambiente per attrarre qualche click extra con una storia che fa scandalo...

almeno così pare.

vediamo cosa diranno nei prossimi giorni con il "frank statement" che hanno promesso

il fix per chi come me lo aveva installato e senza mod pesa cmq 157MB, alla faccia del fix

che poi a me non cambia niente da quando ho la fibra, ma non è una cosa leggerissima, contando che il gioco occupa 630MB su disco

sto aggiornando ora, in effetti ora che mi ricordo l'ultima volta che l'avevo giocato mi era crashato... senza tra l'altro salvare lo stato del gioco, e mi era parso strano.
ero a meta' di una mappa e stavo per iniziare a portare la legna, crash, rientrata, mappa da ricominciare (di solito ti da ovviamente la possibilita' di continuare al punto in cui eri).

Con estremo comodo, la spiegazione ufficiale sul casino di Spintires:

Comrade’s,

We would like to apologise for the recent time-bomb related bug that prevented you from playing Spintires, it was totally unacceptable and we appreciate the frustration it must have caused you.

A member of our community named ‘Localhost’ along with our Moderators had kindly provided you with a temporary fix that you could use whilst we continued to produce the official fix.

Luckily we have now identified and fixed the bug which was not sabotage like some of the media suspected. The bug was identified by Pavel when running an older test build side-by-side with a newer build - it turns out it was some code that Pavel had invented to try and deal with piracy and DRM issues.

Pavel explains here: “bug was related to self-checks that which I tried to invent myself to prevent the game from being pirated and modded”.

After the recent media speculations, it’s entirely up-to-you if you will believe such a story or not. However, with that said, we accept responsibility for not communicating with our community as much as we should have and perhaps if we had done so, the guesswork by the media wouldn't have been steered so negatively.

It was interesting to read the conspiracy theories about sabotage from the media though, especially when an unnamed media outlet clearly announced they haven’t even contacted Oovee at all about the subject. It does highlight the fact you should only consider official statements directly from the Oovee forum or website as true.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our moderators and members who supported us during these difficult times, your actions do not go unnoticed.

Now it’s time to move onto something more positive…

Behind the dense forests, swampy lakes (or big black twisters) we have been working hard to secure a deal with a partner, and it is with great pleasure we can now announce that Spintires will be coming to both Xbox One and PS4 expected to arrive early 2017.

If you are not a fan of consoles, do not fear - it is also good news for our PC fans since it now means we will be expanding the development team for that platform as well! It may have taken us some time to secure and announce such a deal but work has already commenced and in the next few months you will hear more details about the ports and additional updates for the PC platform too.

Boh... per me hanno perso credibilita' e tutto. Tra drm non dichiarati, timebomb, comunicazione ad intermittenza, disinstallato e tanti saluti.

mha, no, io ci sto giocando ogni tanto, anche perche' col workshop provo parecchi mezzi, alcuni assurdi , resta un buon gioco, con delle meccaniche interessanti.
l'unica cosa che veramente comincia a mancare sono le mappe nuove.

in quelle standard ho ormai fatto tutte le rotte possibili (col carico dico eh) e ok e' divertente provare altri mezzi, ma alla fine le conosco a memoria.

Oggi e' uscito Spintires: Mudrunner... sempre dallo stesso developer Pavel.

Non cambia molto rispetto al primo titolo, ma almeno e' in mano a un publisher serio (Focus Interactive) che potrebbe garantire un futuro serio.

Il nuovo Spintires: MudRunner è diventato multy piattaforma, infatti il gioco è disponibile da oggi sia su PC, XBOX ONE e PS4. Credo che non sia possibile giocare in multiplayer in cross platform purtroppo.
Il gioco da steam costa sulle 30€, se lo si preordinava e si aveva già la vecchia versione pc costava solo 13€. Su altri siti lo si trova già anche a 19€ circa.
