Avvio w98se: "il volume rimosso conteneva file aperti&q

Da un po' di tempo windows mi fa uno dei suoi errori che odio di più, cioè quelli che vengono ogni tanto quando ha voglia senza nessun senso logico.
Infatti all'avvio di Windows 98 Se spesso mentre carica le icone del desktop, la barra di Office e tutte le altre cose, compare la maledetta schermata blu col messaggio "il volume rimosso conteneva file aperti", seguita poi da altri messaggi sempre più "minacciosi", finchè non mi tocca resettare.
Questo può capitare una volta su tre come anche 5 volte di fila, come dicevo dipende dalla voglia.
Qualcuno ha avuto un problema simile e sa magari come risolverlo?

Hai il disco fisso su un controller promise ?? se la risposta è si, ti consiglio di riinstallare tutto e di mettere gli ultimi driver per il controller. Ti consiglio inoltre dopo il sistema operativo di installare i via4in1,via usb filter , via usb patch, directx,scheda video,scheda audio e controller promise nell'ordine elencato.

How should I install the software for my new motherboard?

You should install Windows with only a basic system configuration - disk, graphics card, CDROM and memory. Nothing else. Follow the software installation order given below. Having achieved a stable system like this, you should then introduce all your other cards one-by-one. Please read "Thanks for theory, but which slots should I put my PCI cards in?!" in the instabilities section for AMD's advice on the correct order in which to introduce your peripherals. This gives useful advice that should prevent many problems.
A clean install of the operating system is recommended. The following installation procedure is known to work for Windows 98SE and Me, and can be easily adapted to Windows 2000:
1. For a really clean boot ... boot into DOS using a floppy, then:
- Use FDISK to create DOS partition on disk (!!this destroys existing data on disk!!)
- FORMAT C: /S to format disk (use /Q for quick format) (!!this destroys existing data on disk!!)
2. Install Windows
3. Install latest VIA 4in1 service pack
4. Install latest VIA USB filter driver (under all Windows 9x versions after Windows 95 OSR2 and above)
5. Install Microsoft VIA USB patch (on Windows 98 or 98SE)
6. Install latest DirectX and latest patches
7. Install latest video drivers
8. Add sound card and then install latest sound card drivers
9. Install latest HPT370 software (on the KT7-RAID and KT7A-RAID)
10. And other devices one by one, and Install their latest drivers, e.g. joystick, graphics tablet, etc
11. Install applications
12. Confirm the system is working and then tweak BIOS if required
The basic principal is to work up from the most basic software towards the higher level applications. Some people have reported that it is necessary to defrag before and after installing DirectX, but this should be unnecessary if the disk was formatted before installation. Note that on the KT7-RAID and KT7A-RAID it is advisable to install the HPT370 software after the sound card software, to avoid conflicts.
If you don't wish to perform a clean install, under Windows 9x systems (including Windows Me) you can force the system to redetect all your devices by deleting a key in your registry. To do this, go to Start, Run... and type regedit. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE delete the folder Enum and all its subfolders. Windows will redetect all the necessary hardware devices. This should be equivalent to performing a clean installation - but obviously this is not as thorough as formatting the disk and starting again. Remember that if anything goes wrong with modifying the registry, Windows maintains backups in C:\Windows\SYSBCKUP in the files rbxxx.cab. If disaster strikes, you can always boot into DOS with a floppy and then restore your registry manually by extracting the files from one of these CAB files (using the Extract command located in C:\Windows\Command).

Sì ho l'hd su un controller promise. Non mi piace molto l'idea di reinstallare tutto (ho formattato due settimane fa), ma se può servire a togliere questo fastidioso problema...
