Consiglio server Xeon

Mi ricollego a questo thread:

Visto che nessuno ha saputo aiutarmi penso che mi orienterò su quella mobo.
Il problema successivo è trovare un case rack che non costi una fortuna e che possa ospitare 4 HD da 3.5" SAS da usare con questo controller e alcune schede pci/pci express full size.
Preferivo qualcosa di piccolo, ma ho seri dubbi che un case 2U sia abbastanza grande. Sapete consigliarmi qualche buon case che non costi una fortuna e la dimensione giusta per quello che mi serve?

purtroppo col case non saprei come consigliarti
però....hai pensato a una soluzione ssd al posto dei sas? avresti a parità di costo, se non meno (dipende dalle tue esigenze e da come configurerai i sas) una macchina molto più prestante abbattendo nel contempo calore e consumi

se si parla di slc va bene, mlc e server non mi suonano bene sulla stessa frase, comunque la cosa migliore che possa consigliarti è chiama la dell ( 02 69 682) e fatti fare un preventivo, quel che conta su un server è l'assistenza

Un bell'X25-E sarebbe sicuramente la soluzione preferibile in termini di performance, ma con costi ancora più proibitivi e capacità ridottissime.
Ad ogni modo queste bestioline sono tutt'altro che lente e i costi non sono ai livelli degli ssd Intel:

Di prendere un server Dell non se ne parla visti i costi, anche perché avrò accesso fisico al server e questo mi mette in condizione di poter risolvere qualunque problema.
