All'avvio del sistema, senza aver configurato nulla, hal non è caricato tra i demoni in rc.conf. Entrambe le partkizioni dell'hdd sono visibili ed accessibili. D'altro canto, non funzionano i drive ottici. Caricando hal, il masterizzatore ed il lettore cd funzionano mentre delle due partizioni è accessibile solo quella di boot. Quella di root non risulta montata e non è montabile. Quando cerco di accedervi mi da uno strano messaggio di errore che allude a permessi vari (magari poi lo posto). La cosa buffa è che anche accedendo come root mi da questo messaggio. In tutto questo poi, dbus potrebbe avere qualche ruolo? (ho provato a metterlo tra i demoni, ma non cambia nulla)

si, io non ho creato una partizione boot, ho fatto solo una part di root e una di swap...ma possibile che debba fare per forza una part di boot???non c'è altro modo per dirgli di cercarla da qualche altra parte???

per curiosita usi kde o gnome? (o altro...)

uso kde. Caricando hal nei demoni in rc.conf mi funzionano dvd e masterizzatore ma non mi fa accedere alla partizione di root. Posso accedere solo alla partzione di boot. Se cerco di montare o accedere a root, esce uno strano messaggio relativo a protezioni varie. Più tardi lo posto.

ps: questo succede solo in modalità grafica. Usando la console posso editare file, aprirli, crearli.

Come prima cosa, tramite lsusb dovresti cercare di capire che chip usa e poi cercare un modulo appropriato per quel chip.

OK, non si capisce molto nemmeno dall'output del comando lsusb -vv, però abbiamo comunque scoperto che la webcam monta il chip zc0302 e quindi tu devi fare delle ricerche in base al chip e non in base al modella della webcam.
Hai provato a caricare il moduleo che ti ho detto? Ti da qualche segnalazione strana?

no carica il modulo tranquillamente ...
quindi è il suo ... però nella cartella /dev/ non c'è il nodo video0 ...
