Re: Re: Re: ...
4) First Snowball and Napoleon emerged as the leaders of the farm and Napoleon introduced the "seven commandments"then Napoleon uses cruelty and aggression against the other animals; Such as starvation and execution in order to manipulate them. In other words an important element in the animal's manipulation is the "propaganda machine" made by Squealer who always convinces the animals to accept Napoleon's injustice. The theme introduced is the changing of the rule and the gradual dominance of the pigs over the other animals. Then as the years pass, the animals themselves assume more and more human characteristics and the seven commandments are reduced to one: "All animals are equal but some are more equal the others". This theme takes us back to the beginning of the book. Everything has connected into a full circle.

2) Napoleon is an aggressive pig who early on becomes the leader of the farm.He is really a tyrant who has grown up with an other pig called Snowball and later in the story he eliminates his fellow pig. Napoleon makes the animals work like slaves and even executes them. He changes some important rules of the farm's "seven commandments" such as drinking alcohol, wearing clothes and killing other animals. The name of the pig is not casually given,in deed his name makes us think of Bonaparte, the renowned french general and emperor in the 18th century. The character of Boxer symbolizes peasants who are downtrodden by certain political figures. His name, Boxer, like someone who participates in boxing...in deed he was the hardest worker and the strongest devotee to the revolution but at the end he is betrayed. 3) A clover is small plant with three to four leaves. The character Clover is a mare, female horse, who, after the execution assumes a motherly position with the other animals on the farm, offering help and understanding. She is the one who is a true believer in the revolution and all that it stands for. 4) First Snowball and Napoleon emerge as the leaders of the farm and Napoleon introduce the "seven commandments" then Napoleon uses cruelty and aggression against the other animal such as starvation and execution in order to manipulate them. Orwell believed that in this totalitarian and corrupted regime the ideals of the revolution are not easily maintained. 5) The phase "if you can control the language, you can control the thought" is profound and very true: in a totalitarian state where there is no space for independent thought, only what is decided from above is offered to the people who must obey without rebellion. Thereby controlling what the people say and do controlling their every thought and action. rassumendo questo è tutto...ma alla fine mi è rimasto un dubbio: THE FIVE-YEAR PLANS : nel racconto da cosa sono allegoricamente rappresentati?
