Gestione pacchetti in Mandrake 9.2...che disastro!!!

per le update incolla questa stringa in una consolle di root

urpmi.addmedia --update updates ftp://ftp.club-internet.fr/pub/unix/...ates/9.2/RPMS/ with ../base/hdlist.cz


poi digiti semplicemente da consolle


urpmi nome-pacchetto che vuoi aggiornare e te lo aggiorna con le dipendenze necessarie

la firma dei pacchetti non è importante

se vuoi aggiornarli tutti assieme digita nella consolle


urpmi --auto-select

Quanto al floppy d'avvio ho formattato il floppy dandogli come dimensioni 1,7mb col comando superformat, vado a creare il floppy d'avvio ed è stato lì a rullare per un buon quarto d'ora senza terminare la procedura...dopo l'ho tirato di forza dal lettore floppy! Perchè?

Forse la formattazione non è stata effettuata correttamente. Hai ootenuto errore, io ci ho provato e con molti floppy mi dava errore.Sull'ultimo mi ha dato errore al cilindro 80, ho provato a creare comunque un floppy di avvio ed ha funzionato (non l'ho ancora provato ma l'ho motato e ci sono tutti i file necessari).
Ecco l'output di superformat, se può servirti:

$ superformat /dev/fd0 sect=21 cyl=83
Measuring drive 0's raw capacity

add the following line to /etc/driveprm:
drive0: deviation=-160

Il pacchetto popt-1.8-21.2.92mdk.i586.rpm continua a darmi il seguente errore:

Cmq poco male se si può risolvare con un semplice update -menus




Quanto al floppy d'avvio anche a me per la formattazione da il medesimo mex...o quanto meno molto simile:

ma poi quando uso Drakboot mi da cmq messaggio di spazio insufficiente, invece col comando lilo -v -b /dev/fd0 sono finalmente riuscito a crearmi il floppy d'avvio.

Direi problemi risolti, anche se non nella maniera più ortodossa.
