io lo tradurrei così:

much bigger is the distance of the galaxy, much bigger is its redshift

in sostanza la feri così pero' é molto tecnica, ci potrebbero essere delle parole che non vanno bene (per esempio "emessa" io userei promulgated), in poche parole non mi assumo responsabilità :
