Secondo me il pc a ross74 crasha per l'HT troppo alto (2.2ghz contro 1.8ghz)... prova ad abbassare il molti dell'HT!!

Phenom B4 o C1: Inizio testing sul silicio entro marzo/aprile; inizio produzione i volumi stimata entro agosto...

gentilissimo, cmq sono sempre più in ritardo purtroppo, speriamo almeno che il B3 porti davvero quel boost che serve

degli opteron nessuna notizia? tutto bloccato in attesa del B3 immagino
e mi domando a cosa serva un phenom a 1.8ghz, avevano un senso gli opty, ma i phenom? bah

Contrary to its earlier statements, AMD has now revealed that its 2.4GHz quad-core Phenom 9700 and 2.6GHz Phenom 9900 have both been delayed until the second quarter of 2008. AMD hasn't said how this will impact the introduction of the 2.8GHz and 3GHz parts that were originally projected for late in Q2, but these will almost certainly be delayed as well.

AMD does have a new Phenom planned for the first quarter, but the company is choosing to focus once again on power efficiency over performance. AMD hasn't released specifics, but has confirmed that the upcoming Phenom 9100E will be a low power part at an undisclosed frequency. Given the Phenom 9500's 95W TDP at 2.3GHz, it's reasonable to assume AMD is aiming for a TDP of ~65W. Assuming that AMD adheres to the rating system it has established with Phenom thus far, clockspeed should be around 1.8GHz.

It's not clear yet whether the delay of the Phenom 9600 and 9900 correspond to a delay with AMD's B3 stepping. Presumably B3—intended to fix the Phenom's much-publicized TLB erratum—is still on track and AMD is simply waiting for it to be ready before it launches new Phenom speed grades. The alternative would be to ship B2 9600/9900 parts almost immediately followed by B3 9600/9900 parts, which wouldn't make much sense for any company.

Rumors have also surfaced that the company won't ship 45nm parts in volume until early 2009. AMD stated at its financial analyst day in December that it intended to ship 45nm parts within 12 months, but the conversion of Fab 30 (currently at 65nm/90nm) to Fab 38 (at 45nm) has only just begun. The company's next-generation 45nm Shanghai core also has not been built on silicon yet.

With no new Phenom parts shipping until Q2, AMD plans to spend Q1 focusing on the launch of its tri-core "Toliman" processors. Without more information on pricing and clockspeed, it's hard to predict what impact, if any, these upcoming chips will have on AMD's market position. Toliman could potentially be an enticing upgrade path for K8 owners on Socket AM2, especially if the new CPU line debuts at dual-core price points.

If Sunnyvale can't offer a higher clock than Phenom's current 2.3GHz, however, much of the processor's potential appeal is going to vanish—moving from a dual-core at 2.8GHz to a triple-core at 2.3GHz isn't going to appeal to most enthusiasts. Initial Toliman CPUs will also be based on current K10 steppings—don't expect AMD's B3 stepping to show up in the tri-core line before it moves to the quad-core products.

These delays could indicate that AMD's ability to execute its own roadmap is declining, or they could be signs that the company is shifting its own priorities. It's hopefully obvious to everyone at AMD HQ that the decision to push forward with a "native" quad-core solution rather than focusing on dual-core or Intel-style multichip module-based quad-core products was a colossal failure. Cheap quad-core chips are a wonderful thing for the handful of users that need them, but they're a poor value at any price to the majority of the market that can't take advantage of their capabilities.

If dialing back on Phenom gives AMD additional resources to put towards Kuma (K10 dual-core with 1MB of L2) and its forthcoming 45nm Shanghai processor, then these announcements are actually good tidings. Barring a massive clockspeed boost, Barcelona will never be capable of taking the fight to Intel the way K8 did during the P4 era; the resources the company might expend squeezing an extra speed grade out of K10 might well be used more effectively elsewhere

Vorrei acquistare la M3A32-MVP Deluxe WiFi con i dissi delle ram heatpipe inclusi e volevo un tuo parere visto che la stai provando.

la mobo (non è quella con il wireless) va molto bene ottimo bios bellissimo sitema di raffreddamento buona disposizione degli attacchi sata ti dico il procio si comporta bene unico neo il dissi in rame laterale e troppo vicino al soket quindi uno zalman forse non ci sta

Comunque si sono delle imprecisioni:
Il Phenom 9700 a 2.40Ghz non è previsto nel 2 trimestre 2008, ma bensì a fine gennaio; la prova è che ormai tantissimi siti di shop on-line hanno in listino questa CPU, compresi quelli italiani.
Naturalmente tale CPU sarà uno step B2...
E' sbagliato mettere i 45nm nel 2009 solo perchè AMD non ha presentato Roadmap 2008 con tali CPU al "Financial Analyst Day".
AMD non ha introdotto R700 in queste roadmap 2008, ma ormai la nuova GPU è in "Tape OUT" e RV770 sarà pronta per il mercato fra 4/5 mesi...
AMD produce wafer con tecnologia a 45nm già da aprile 2006, il suo problema è che attualmente non ha un die shrink definitivo.
Inoltre è assolutamente sbagliato calcolare i lunghi tempi di conversione della FAB30 in FAB38 in quando nel passaggio dal 65nm al 45nm SOI AMD non dovrà effettuare nessun cambiamento nei processo di produzione, riducendo drasticamente i costi e i tempi di attesa...

Asus si appresta a presentare la scheda mamma M3A78-EMH HDMI con il nuovo chipset 780G e SB700.
La scheda dovrebbe avere uno slot PCI-Express 2.0 16X, uno slot PCI-Express 1X, due slot PCI, 6 porte SATA2, Lan 10/100/1000/ HD Audio realtek ALC883 8 canali, uscita video HDMI, DVI e VGA.
La scheda verrà proposta in formato micro-ATX...
