We've chosen the three winners from the Half-Life 2: Deathmatch map competition. It was tough going through and picking the winners given the quality of maps that the community built, but we feel these three represent the best of the group. The winning maps will be released sometime in March for everyone to play.

We've also been watching what the MOD community is producing lately, and there are some very promising projects underway. Recently, we had the team from Dystopia up to Valve for a few days to get their feedback on the SDK and and help them with any technical issues they might be having. Head over to their website to check out their work in progress.

In news much closer to home, we've been challenged to a game of Half-Life 2: Capture the Flag by the team that created this mod. We noticed on their website that they want to "beat up on Valve" in a match that starts today at 6:00 pm PST. While our relationship with the MOD community usually involves us providing tools and support, we're more than happy to give them a beating in their own game.

Raga quante sono le versioni di hl2?
Quale va acquistata per avere compresi tutti i mod e il resto?

Metto anche qui questo post, perchè magari qualcuno mi può aiutare.

"Half Life 2 si blocca e mi resetta il PC!

Praticamente il gioco si carica fino alla schermata iniziale, lancio nuovo gioco, si carica, ma appena comincia il parlato il gioco crasha! E' capitato che crashasse anche nella schermata iniziale, mi sembra quando appare una fotocamera volante ed appunto si hanno anche in quel caso degli effetti audio.

La scheda video credo non abbia nessuna colpa, ho provato sia con risoluzioni alte che basse, coi driver ufficiale 66.93 che con gli ultimi 75.90, ma niente di niente.
Ho provato anche a disattivare il cool'n queite, a disattivare da bios l' audio della scheda madre (AC'97) ma non è cambiato nulla.

Come potete leggere dalla firma ho una SB AUDIGY 2 ZN, aggiornata agli ultimi driver.

Sul PC come altro gioco ho solo PES4 che non mi da nessun problema.
Altra cosa, credendo di fare la cosa giusta, non ho installato i driver audio della scheda madre, in quanto usando la Audigy penso/pensavo non servissero e potessero fare qualche casino.
Può essere questo il problema?

Premetto che prima avevo sempre usato la Audigy su scheda Gigabyte Ga7n400-L, procio XP 2500-M e scheda video 9600XT e Half Life girava tranquillamente.

sono arrivato a desumere che l' audio non è assolutamente!
ho disattivato la periferica ed il gioco mi ha dato lo stesso identico problema!!!!!

non capisco più cosa possa essere!!!!!!!
non posso credere sia colpa della scheda video!!!! con la 9600XT ci giocavo tranquillamente.

Il gioco l' ho installato con la procedura di backup di steam, ed ho letto qualcosa in giro (ma solo in forum inglesi) che questo possa dare qualche problema, ma non riesco a capire come risolverlo!!!!!!!

qualcuno sa di qualche incompatibilità fra chipset VIA e Geforce?

per favoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

ecco come è finita:
First match Valve beat us 2-0 on ctf_prisonriot. Second match, we beat valve 3-2 on ctf_defrost. The third match was a stalemate, ending at 0-0 on ctf_prisonriot. This leaves the overall score for the match tied up, so we're going to need to do this again in the near future to settle this once and for all!

Base --> HL2 + CSS
Collection --> HL2 + CSS + HL(sorcio) + tutti i prodotti online vecchi valve + DoDS (appena sarà pronto, primavera estate) + cianfrusaglie (tazzine, bide, frutta, magliette ecc..)

SCARICABILI da STEAM
Bronzo --> HL2 + CSS
Silver --> HL2 + CSS + HL(sorcio) + tutti i prodotti online vecchi valve + DoDS
Gold --> non ricordo cos in + della silver, ma penso sia identica alla collection..
