era chiarissimo appena ho letto il tuo post che avevi fatto lo scan da dentro la lan, ma se ti rispondevo subito questo, non ci credevi sono sicuro

quando rilascio una nuova versione di un firmware il file è sempre e solo uno, il primo che vedi

per il 3500 c'è la versione NA che può essere installata solo sui 3500 ammerricani se provi ad installarla su un 3500 europeo non si installa (e viceversa)

gli altri file sono cose varie ma non firmware

vi volevo illustare un metodo semplice semplice per fare fare ad un 2200V3 da bridge wireless; necessario un coso come un WNCE2001

mettete il 2200v3 in modalità router
in wan indicate che non ha bisogno di login e mettete un indirizzo fisso nella lan dello access point a cui volete connettervi
collegate il WNCE2001 alla porta eth4

finito; il 2200 prenderà la wan dalla wifi via WNCE2001 e farà da ripetitore sia via sua wifi e da bridge via le sue porte eth

dice essi ma mi devo comperare un WNCE2001? è per chi lo ha in un cassetto a prendere polvere

I confirm that 2.0.20 firmware works. I have not registered any disconnects in 24 hours. All devices connected without any problems.

amod and router settings have not been erased. I've just downgraded firmware.

just for information its now almost 2 days with this setup

the minitx has an atheros wifi card connected to

a dgn2200v3 3 rooms 10 meters away with its broadcom chipset
the dgn2200v3 is set as router and it has a wnce2001 connected to its ETH port 4

the wnce2001 has a ralink chipset connected other rooms away to an asus rtn16 with its broadcom wifi chipset

I mean, I have a mix up of wifi connection and chipsets...

But I am running a different version of amod, so it might be that.

When next amod version is out, please try it.

anything new concerning DDNS with IPoA protocol ?...

I have a question : can I upgrade the dgn2200v4 to the last Netgear version 1.0.0.46 and still use the current uamod firmware (2.1.1) ? This is not very clear for me...

Some changes and/or bug fixes of the last Netgear firmware seems interesting to me...

no, amod is a firmware it is not an application

but out of curiosity, which changes in .46 version do you like so much?

.46 just has the modem mode; I really like the modem only mode, but I dislike anything else in .46

Well, maybe this change :
- Fixes auto reboot when the Internet settings are applied.

and theses bug fixes :
- The connection is blocked once traffic meter limit is reached.
- The PPPoE MTU default is wrong.
- The Cancel button on the 'Add Allowed Device' page does not work.

By the way, what is the "modem only mode" (not listed in the changelog !) ?

it is not only false, f.e. any changes in internet settings reboot the router as well, but also .46 introduces others brand new bugs

the only reason to release .46 is to fix the well known Sercom backdoor, that amod fixes in any router from the very first version

now, this thread is about amod not about Netgear firmwares or Netgear routers; I don't work for Netgear and I use their routers just because of they release quite full sources.

You can use any firmware you whish.

Buondì Alfonso, sono riuscito finalmente a trovare un 2200v3 e stasera vedo di installarlo sulla mia ADSL. Una domanda: settandolo in modalità modem, al di fuori della mia lan, lo posso raggiungere??Sul router principale ho un ddns attivo e non ho problemi.

vuoi raggiungerlo da Internet

è questo che vuoi fare?

così su due piedi non so risponderti; il 2200V3 che funziona da modem soltanto non ha un indirizzo pubblico, per raggiungere la sua interfaccia da Internet, innanzitutto devi poterla raggiungere dalla LAN e questo dipende dal router a cui è connesso, non dal 2200V3

una volta che hai raggiunto il 2200V3 dalla LAN, puoi provare a mettere qualche regola di port forwarding nel router che rimandi al modem; però, siccome il 2200V3 sarà in un'altra net rispetto al router, la cosa non è sicuramente fattibile su interfaccia grafica del router

insomma, quello che vuoi fare, così su due piedi, è particolarmente difficoltoso

se invece non ho capito che cosa vuoi fare, spiegati :P

Una domanda: avrei intenzione di aggiungere un dns dinamico diverso da dyndns (noip.com) sul firmware ufficiale del 2200v3, tramite telnet ho modificato il file DNS_ddns.htm, linea 49:

ma nelle impostazioni del router, verificando lo stato del servizio dns dopo aver aggiunto i dati di login, vedo che il router non è in grado di verificare l'account (utente e password errati).
Immagino quindi che ci sia qualche altra stringa da modificare, sapresti darmi indicazioni?
