[Linux] fluxbox utf8

Ciao.
Ho qualche problema ad utilizzare l'unicode con fluxbox.
Ho tentato di impostare l'utf8 di default con set-m17n-env come suggerito sulla debian reference, ma ora fluxbox non parte neanche più.
Cioè, mi ritrovo in X, con il puntatore del mouse... e nient'altro.
(Ctrl+Alt+backspace)

Prima di ciò, ho anche provato a compilarmi fluxbox da solo, per avere la versione più recente (0.9.12) e per essere sicuro che l'utf fosse abilitato.
Come devo fare?!?
Riporto qua sotto il log di quando cerco di eseguire fluxbox con startx (e non va)...
