Vietcong 2 (the next instalment in the million+ selling Vietcong franchise) is a FPS set against the background of the 1968 Tet Offensive, in and around the ancient city of Hue (pronounced Who-ay), during the Vietnam War. Brought to life through a gritty story compiled from first hand accounts and memories of Special Forces and Infantry servicemen stationed in Hue during the assault.

Based on these historical accounts, the player will take the role of a US Captain tasked with escorting a US war reporter covering the traditional New Year (Tet) festivities, in Hue, during a ceasefire. Follow the progress of the infamous Tet Offensive from joyous New Year celebrations in the US compound, through bloody conflict across 14 distinct locations, to the final push to reclaim the Imperial Palace and the city of Hue.

Also included is a Vietcong campaign, in which the player can take the role of a young Vietcong conscript, fighting the South Vietnamese Army in the rice fields and jungle around his village, eventually becoming a Sergeant in the Hue Uprising and storming the Imperial Palace.

Olè.. bravo shadowman...

sto giocando da qualche ora....
allora il gioco prima di tutto sta su dvd...l'installazione e il mkenù di interfaccia sono in ita ma la lingua è in inglese con i sottotitoli.. a me non da fastidio.. anzi con gli ultimi doppiaggi che ci siamo dovuti sorbire..

Come primo impatto devo dire che è abbastanza coinvolgente, migliorata la grafica anche se devo dire che è un po pesantina.. devo fare delle con fraps per vedere quanti fps faccio. ottimo l'audio. Si combatte anche in città.. e c'e addirittura la campagna viet una volta finita quella usa

Più che soddisfacente il manuale.

Cmq vale i 39€ .. almeno per me.. a dopo

un po di screen.. no AA no AF 1024X768 il rest tutto al max

in alcuni casi è davvero difficile snidare i nemici.. eheh inizia ad intripparmi e non sono ancora nella giungla vietnamita

su questo non c'è dubbio, si può giocare benissimo, però non serve paragonarla a q4 fear far cry hl2 o doom3 per dire che è brutta, imho. Sembra un gioco di anni fa, effettivamente potevano migliorarla di più

Se questo gioco ha grafica migliorata ed è immersivo come Vietcong 1 per me è già capolavoro.

Lo prenderò sicuramente insieme a COD2.

diciamo ke il vero cavallo di battaglia di viet2 è il prezzo.. offre un singleplayer immersivo (sia da usa ke da viet).. un multiplayer ke si prospetta interessante (con tante classi, mezzi, mappe grandi e piccole).. un buon realismo.. uniche pecche la grafica e qualke bug qui e lì, ma quelli si sa, si risolvono..

Se mi compro CoD2 dovrò comprarmi anche un PC nuovo visto che con quello attuale riesco a far girare la demo fluidamente[ed in alcuni punti neache!!!] solo a 800x600 dettagli bassi!

Sarà anche pesantello ma non credo di dover scendere tanto nei dettagli anche perché fear mi gira a 1024x768 dettagli medi\alti tranquillamente.

Vedo che quelli della pterodon continuano a non ottimizzare i loro giochi[anche il primo viet al tempo era bello pesante pur non avendo una grafica ai massimi livelli]...

che grafica orrenda, non mi spiego come faccia ad andare cosi male.
il frame rate oscilla paurosamente da piu di 100 a meno di 20
non ho parole su sto gioco...è lo stesso dell'altro solo che non si sta nella giungla ma in mezzo a palazzi squadrati e orrendi
