No luser cut per gli stream processors sulla 6950, per abilitarli basta un flash del bios (per le versioni attualmente in commercio) la procedura è semplice e sicura, anche con differenze di alimentazione non si incorre in nessun tipo di problema. Solo le versioni reference da 2 GB di memoria possono essere trasformate in 6970, con tutte le altre non è possibile fare questa procedura
guida al flash:

crare una chiavetta bootabile scaricando hp format tool e il boot di windows xp
inserire all'interno della chiavetta ati flash e il bios desiderato, spegnere il pc e settare lo switch in posizione 1
accendere il pc bootando da chiavetta e premere i seguenti comandi:

atiflash -unlockrom 0

atiflash -f -p 0 nomebios.bin/rom

riavviare il pc

Cambio voltaggi 6950@6970:



Nel caso andasse qualcosa storto:
Nulla di piu' semplice, riportare lo switch in posizione 2
Accendere il pc preparandosi a flashare il bios con uno non corrotto
prima di effettuare il flash spostare lo switch in posizione 1, riavviare il pc

se non fosse per le modifiche architetturali veramente si sarebbe gridato al rebranding..

E la 6970 spesso si fa staccare anche dalla gtx 480/570...
Peggio di così nn poteva andare. Amd nn ce la fa proprio a tirare su una scheda piu' veloce della concorrenza è?
Vabbè me ne rimango con la mia 5770, aspettando i 28 nm :/
