problemi in fase di masterizzazione

salve, ho appena acquistato un masterizzatore dvd, convinto che il mio problema fosse relativo al vecchio hardware. Ho provato a masterizzare un dvd ma al solito la barra dell'avanzamento si blocca già all'1% dandomi la calssica finestra Burn Process Failed
Ho provato con vari software ottenendo lo stesso risultato, pensando a questo punto che il problema non risieda nel software.. Ma il masterizzatore fa ancora odore di nuovo. Cosa potrebbe essere?
