[iptables]: -j LOG
salve,
sto cercando informazioni circa la funzionalità di logging messa a disposizione da iptables ... mica sapete spiegarmi, ad esempio, dove sono inseriti questi log? (in messages? syslog? e poi a che serve indicare il nome del file di log?) ... e per quanto riguarda i vari livelli?? capisco che di carne al fuoco ne ho messa tanta per cui se mi secca rispondere, potreste almeno indicarmi un buon url? (apart from il netfilter howto)

anche io sto aprofondendo l'argomento. da quello che ho capito con il target -j LOG viene attivato il logging attraverso syslogd. un sito da cui ho imparato parecchio è:

Sì, finiscono in syslog. Si può impostare il livello di severità con --log-level n (dove n varia da 0 - emergenza a 7 - debug).
