Help kubuntu 8.04

[Solido]

Ragazzi è la prima volta che istallo linux e ho deciso di istallare la nuova versione di kubuntu...mi trovo subito in difficoltà e vi chiedo aiuto: come faccio a fargli troare i vari package?
perchè non mi è riuscito ne di istallarci wine ne compiz perchè mi dice che non li trova e mi da driver ati fire gl non in uso

Sistema, amministrazione, Adept che installa tutto quello che è in repository.
Compiz dovrebbe essere già installato, ma funziona solo se hai i driver giusti.

ora i driver della vga li ho istallati ..ci sono riuscito infatti mi ha sbloccato gli effetti.
Ora sto cercando di istallare compiz


quello che hai detto tu l'avevo letto solo che io questo adept non lo trovo...su sistema non c'è amministrazione

Sistema, configurazione, gestione pacchetti, Adept. Scusami, ma io uso Ubuntu. Hai provato premendo Ctlr+Alt e cliccando sul desktop a puovere il mouse per far apparire il cubo ?

l'app gestore adept(adept_manager) è andata in crash e ha causato il segnale 6 ( sigarbit)

L'installazione è andata male, prova con Ubuntu senza K che è più affidabile.

che palle non c'è il modo di recuperarlo?

ad esempio adesso mi ha fatto accedere alla schermata e sono riuscito a scaricare un pò di pacchetti

Peril link di youtube devi scaricarti la chiave , io l'ho messo per avere pytube che mi permette di scaricare i video di youtube facilmente.

non ho capito...devo andare in /etc/apt/source.list e inserire tutto il codice che hai postato?
se si come si fa a inserirlo?
edito come root?

ah altra cosa: come mai non mi fa installare il pacchetto compiz-fusion-bcop?
possibile che sia qesto pacchetto il responsabile dell'effetto cubo dato che non mi funziona?

Si, edita come root, cancella tutto il file e sostituiscilo con quello postato.
Dopo digita

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Non ti fa installare quel pacchetto perchè mi sa che hai selezionato (non so come nè perchè) dei mirror un po' ballerini.
L'effetto cubo si abilita installando i driver video con accelerazione e selezionandolo nel compiz-config-settings-manager.

Devi sostituire il tuo /etc/apt/sources.list con quello postato da Tony Lio.

Hai fatto questa operazione ed eseguito i tre comandi di aggiornamento??

Ovvio che fa fatica a installare.

Per il pacchetto compiz-fusion-bcop mi spieghi a cosa ti serve??
# apt-cache search compiz-fusion-bcop
compiz-fusion-bcop - Compiz Fusion option code generator - NOT installed
Al limite devi installare compiz-bcop ma comunque è un pacchetto che non ti serve.

Ti servono questi pacchetti:
compiz
compiz-backend-gconf
compiz-settings-manager
compiz-core
compiz-fusion-plugins-extra
compiz-fusion-plugins-main
compiz-gnome
compiz-plugins
emerald (ti serve per settare i temi tutti "stilusi")
fusion-icon

si si cmq ora mi si è istalato anche quello... i pacchetti che hai citato sono tutti installati solo che l'effetto ad esempio del cubo non mi viene
sistema->gestore adept gestione pacchetti-> desktop->desk cube!
però se effettua la combo di tasti richiesta nn fa nulla


altra domanda banale:
ieri ho installato ff solo che credevo di ritrovarne l'icona sotto ->internet ma non c'è...doe la trovo?

Mi spieghi la combo che fai?
Guarda che il tasto destro del mouse devi tenerlo schiacciato e contemporaneamente muovi il mouse.

* Alt + F1: apre l menù principale.
* Ctrl + Alt + Freccia destra/sinistra: il cubo ruota a destra/sinistra.
* Ctrl + Alt + D: mostra il desktop.
* Shift + Alt + Freccia su: è l’effetto cosiddetto “exposè” (alla Mac OS).
* Ctrl + Alt + Click del mouse + movimento: muovete il cubo su di un piano 3D.
* Shift + F10: diminuisce la velocità delle animazioni.
* Super + E: vi mostra tutte le finestre del cubo. Tipo Exposè nel MAC.
* Alt + Rotellina: rende trasparene la finestra attiva.
* Ctrl + Alt + Freccia destra/sinistra: spostamento tra i desktop.
* Tasto Super + rotellina: ingrandimento.
* Shift + Tasto Super + s : le finestre si dispongono a giro sul desktop

Il tasto super è quello che comunemente viene chiamato tasto WIN

Apri una shell e digita
#which firefox
dovrebbe uscirti una roba tipo
/usr/bin/firefox
Una volta trovato il path basta crearti un'icona sul desktop, inserire il percorso e sceglie l'icon più appropriata.

Ora ti devo salutare.
