[Ubuntu] Dipendenze codec e VLC
Ho cercato di installare i vari codec per i file mp3, avi e compagnia ma non ci sono riuscito ed ho ottenuto il seguente risultato:

se hai la 7.04 o 7.10 alla prima riproduzione di un formato proprietario ti chiede se vuoi scaricare i codec
 Strada consigliata anche perché mi sembra funzionino meglio

Praticamente dovresti usare solo software open source per fare quello che ti serve. Ad esempio, invece degli mp3 dovresti usare ogg (che manco a dirlo è anche meglio), invece di Acrobat Reader, dovresti usare uno dei tantissimi visualizzatori disponibili, invece di FlashPlayer dovresti usare Gnash (stessa cosa, compatibile con flash e open) e via dicendo... Con questo comando mi risponde gpg: impossibile aprire "medibuntu-key.gpg": Nessun file o directory All'inizio c'è da correggere con sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Io per i codec installo il metapacchetto ubuntu-restricted-extra, sicuramente è più comodo ma magari c'è qualcosa di "sbagliato", non saprei.
