In pratica con il comando che ti ho fatto mettere, abbiamo disattivato l'accelerazione nella visione dei video data dalla nostra scheda video.

Non uso VLC, ma presumo che quanto sia scritto sopra sia la ragione del settaggio che richiede appunto VLC.

Con il classico TOTEM, invece come va?

vuol dire che butti la roba nel cestino che poi fa riferimento ad un altra posizione e non lo puoi piu' vuotare...almeno credo....ho anche quello

per quanto riguarda i miei problemi e' jaunty comunque che e' troppo buggata e con certi hardware fa casino

i miuei bug li ho trovati su launchpad a forza di cercare,c'e' anche altra gente che ha problemi del genere e son tornato a intrepid per ora perche' jaunty non mi gira....ho da mettere un bordello di patch oppure ho da mettere un vanilla

pero' io dico....l han pubblicata stable che stable non e'....io magari sono una testa di caxxo e ci ho sbattuto la testa per un po'....uno che non ha tempo come fa? dacordo che se l han pubblicata stable lo staff lo avra' fatto perche' sa quello che fa....pero' questi non e' che son bug che quasi non si notano....son bug da paura

Non di cambiare, ma di controllare. Ma nel bios come è impostato ? In modalità IDE o in modalità AHCI ? Hai provato a cambiare modalità ?

mi pare di si' ma non ricordo...ho provato quasi tutto credo....ma comunque non era solo quello,c'eran un mucchio di problemi....e comunque non sono avanti come te e non riesco a risolvere problemi cosi' problematici....poi fosse stato solo quello ci avrei magari anche potuto provare per sfizio,solo che c'eran un mucchio di altre cose che non andavano e sarei rimasto con una distro che mi avrebbe sempre fatto girar le @@ per parecchio tempo

la i386 pero' va meglio...almeno la uso e non da tutti i problemi della x86_64

nella guida la soluzione è riportata. Mettere personalizzato NON esclude la funzione "xv".

E comunque il problema è diverso dall'avere una tonalità predominante (a me e a te è capitato che sia blu, ad altri verde... insomma i classici RGB) nei video.

Qui il problema sono i driver ATI (altro scenario ben presente in tutta la comunità ubuntu con post su forum e BLOG recenti).

Tornando a noi, la stringa che si deve mettere (nella guida del BLOG) equivale a spostare il cursore della tonalità, e l'ho anche scritto se non sbaglio.

Il fatto è che VLC, da anche altri tipi di problemi (ci sono guide sparse in giro per risolvelre e repository con versioni aggiornate/patchate).

E comunque, purtroppo, nessuna di quelle proposte sono soluzioni, ma palliativi.

Si, infatti, ma io non intendevo tutto i messaggi che sono realtivi apunto al bug che si è ripresentato di AWN (non di Jaunty a meno che questo non sia un settaggio di Canonical). Io intendevo appunto "l'ultimo post" quel "+1 Jaunty".

Io per ora pur avendo SOLO impressioni positive (ho fatto un post una o due pagine fa), l'ho soltanto installato sul portatile delle "prove", sul PC che uso maggiormente c'è Intrepid.

Sto cercando fare un triple boot con Vista, Leopard e Ubuntu ma sto fallendo miseramente ad avviare OSX.

In giro ho trovato varie opinioni ma credo che

Get boot_v8 (The pc_efi bootloader)

Copy it to /boot inside linux

Then edit /boot/grub/menu.lst

title Mac OSX Leopard
root (hd?,?) (replace with same values grub uses for Linux partition, not ones for OSX partition)
kernel /boot/boot_v8
boot

I think you will have to enter 82 during boot process to boot off 2nd HDD

Alternately, make a tiny ext3 partition on 2nd HDD
copy boot_v8 there in a directory /boot
and replace (hd?,?) with the values of that partition
