raga ho un enorme problema: nè firefox ne thunderbird vanno più!!!
allora la situazione è questa, ho installato katapult e yakuake, non so se dipenda da quello, ma prima che li installassi andavano entrambi, sia la volpe di fuoco sia l'uccello di tuono... ora invece non vanno più!
ho disinstallato katapult, yakuake e anche firefox e thunderbird, poi ho reinstallato gli ultimi due ma nulla...
praticamente lancio il programma, rimane li a caricare un po', poi vedo un flash brevissimo come se si fosse avviato ed infine scompare tutto!! vi prego aiuto!!!!

USB Storage Lento - SuSE 10.0 - Workaround
Visto che Novell non si decide a emettere una patch ufficiale per il problema di lentezza sugli HardDisk e Pendrive USB che vanno lenti come lumache ho pensato di fornire questo WorkAround che disabilita il Sync sui device USB.
Dopo aver installato l' RPM dovete eseguire da una shell come root il comando: rchal restart
Le periferiche andranno in modo asincrono, quindi a scrittura finita sarebbe meglio aspettare qualche istante che finisca realmente la scrittura prima di unpluggare il device.
Nota: Disinstallate questo WorkAround quando uscira' una patch ufficiale.

Salve a tutti, una curiosità. Ho messo tutti i ripository per yast che ho trovato su www.opensuse.org e tutto funziona perfettamente però da qualche giorno ho un problemino.
Ogni volta che avvio yast e provo a cercare un programma lui me lo trova, lo seleziono per installarlo e mi viene detto:

Impossibile accedere al mezzo di installazione packman. Verificare l'accessibilità del server.

Il messaggio, in questo caso si riferisce il repository packman (ma mi capita anche con tutti gli altri (guru ecc ecc)). La connessione ovviamente è attiva e funzionante.
Per poter installare il programma da un repository sono costretto ad andare in sorgenti di installazione, selezionare il repository che dava problemi e fare aggiorna.
Dopo l'aggiornamento riprovo ad installare il programma e tutto stavolta va a buon fine.
Volevo chiedervi: è normale questo comportamento?
C'è un modo per risolvere questo fastidioso problema?

da sorgenti di installazione.. fai "attiva aggiornamento" sui repository che vuoi tenere aggiornati! fa quello che fai te automaticamente tutte le volte che apri la gestione pacchetti di yast

dovrebbe funzionare!

Che pacheti hai installato?....vedi alcuni pacchetti sono di sviluppo
ovvero instabili è conflittuali con alcune applicazioni.
Quindi....si installa kde base senza altre scelte.....non si fà
aggiornamento online altrimenti mischia i pacchetti.....poi ci si informa
di cosa è cambiato con la suse 10.1 in modo da vedere
cosa funza e cosa no....ma non avere fretta, tieniti la 10 o
dventa un tester = persona molto molto attenta e pignola,
che annota tutto di ogni pacchetto che installa.
Altro non saprei dirti ....ma schermo nero sgnifica che le librerie
ncourses non sono state caricate bene.

o credo hehehehehh mi spiace davvero
ma non bistrattate troppo il pinguino......trattatelo come trattereste
il vostro unico sistema operativo ...come trattavate windows.
Mica si toglie mette mixa dll api chiavi di registro impostazioni dei servizi
etc senza problem no?

scusa se non sono stato chiaro nell'esporre il problema, io hò scaricato tuttie e cinque
le iso suse 10.1 masterizzate con k3b e controllato uno ad uno i cd ,tutto ok verifica del dispositivo.riavvio dalla 10.0 premo f8 e faccio partire l'installazione ,scelgo la lingua italiano poi invio e parte stà un pò a caricare dopodichè come se tenta di riavviarsi schermo nero e non succede niente,questo è quanto

ciao ragazzi! vorrei installare sul mio portatile la suse che mi è piaciuta tantissimo. però qualche giorno fa ci sono stati dei post qui sul forum che parlavano di un problema (si blocca durante il caricamento del sistema) inseguito ad un aggiornamento. è stato risolto? oppure c'è un escamotage per evitarlo?

ciao ragazzi! vorrei installare sul mio portatile la suse che mi è piaciuta tantissimo. però qualche giorno fa ci sono stati dei post qui sul forum che parlavano di un problema (si blocca durante il caricamento del sistema) inseguito ad un aggiornamento. è stato risolto? oppure c'è un escamotage per evitarlo?

intendi il fatto dell'aggiornamento di kde3.5? si lo hanno già risolto, era il pacchetto kdebase-kdm se non erro (comunque quei pacchetti non sono supportati ufficialmente.. è un rischio che vale la pena di correre)

Ripping ...cavolo mi spice non ho esperienza in questo campo.
Schermo nero ......mi spiace ma quelle tue immagini hanno
qualche pacchetto corrotto sicuro...non saprei se dipende da te
o dal sito.....certo che palle scaricare tutto e sorpresa...nulla.
Ma fai così....scaricati sempre solo un cd
poi se hai la banda ti installi tutti i pacchettini uno per uno
dal repository che se vuoi poi cerco tra quelli che ho postato
e riposto.
Si si installa pure la suse, se sei alle prime armi non c'è di meglio,
ma installa solo rpm suse non complicarti la vita inutilmente.
2. usa apt-get solo per singoli pacchetti e pure aptitude
poichè poi è yast che si smazza tutto a configurare
e a volte si perde qualche link simbolico se ci sono conflitti.
Prova mi darai ragione...zero conflitti con aptitude...una marea
quando apri yast2.
Quindi singoli pacchetti con le loro dipendenze.
Sono sempre di frettissima avessi tempo vi risponderei su tutto
scartabellando e cercando con google ma ho proprio poco tempo
in questo periodo....inoltre un forum di fascisti mi ha espulso
e sono pure incazzatissimo ....e vendicativo.

Ho messo tutti i ripository per yast che ho trovato su www.opensuse.org e tutto funziona perfettamente però da qualche giorno ho un problemino. Ogni volta che avvio yast e provo a cercare un programma lui me lo trova, lo seleziono per installarlo e mi viene detto: Impossibile accedere al mezzo di installazione packman. Verificare l'accessibilità del server. Il messaggio, in questo caso si riferisce il repository packman (ma mi capita anche con tutti gli altri (guru ecc ecc)). La connessione ovviamente è attiva e funzionante. Per poter installare il programma da un repository sono costretto ad andare in sorgenti di installazione, selezionare il repository che dava problemi e fare aggiorna. Dopo l'aggiornamento riprovo ad installare il programma e tutto stavolta va a buon fine. Volevo chiedervi: è normale questo comportamento? C'è un modo per risolvere questo fastidioso problema? Quindi....si installa kde base senza altre scelte.....non si fà aggiornamento online altrimenti mischia i pacchetti.....poi ci si informa di cosa è cambiato con la suse 10.1 in modo da vedere cosa funza e cosa no....ma non avere fretta, tieniti la 10 o dventa un tester = persona molto molto attenta e pignola, che annota tutto di ogni pacchetto che installa. Altro non saprei dirti ....ma schermo nero sgnifica che le librerie ncourses non sono state caricate bene. o credo hehehehehh mi spiace davvero ma non bistrattate troppo il pinguino......trattatelo come trattereste il vostro unico sistema operativo ...come trattavate windows. Mica si toglie mette mixa dll api chiavi di registro impostazioni dei servizi etc senza problem no? Linux è stabilissimo ISSIMO bellissimo ISSIMO simpaticissimo ISSIMO ma non è un mago, lo è quasi, ma deve ancora studiare un poco. Dico questo per non spaventare qualcuno.....linux è facile.... se non lo è chiedete. PER I REPOSITORY vai qualche pagina indietro che la stà una lista con tutti ma proprio tutti i repository dall'Italia al Giappone. Dopo aver installato l' RPM dovete eseguire da una shell come root il comando: rchal restart Le periferiche andranno in modo asincrono, quindi a scrittura finita sarebbe meglio aspettare qualche istante che finisca realmente la scrittura prima di unpluggare il device.
