problemi col masterizzatore DVD

salve a tutti,
il mio problema consta nel fatto che il lettore/masterizzatore dvd del mio notebook Asus legge qualsiasi tipo di formato ma da un po' di tempo a questa parte riesce a masterizzare solo supporti CD e non DVD.

Dopo mille tentativi ho formattato il sistema (aggiornando a window 7) e finalmente sono riuscito a masterizzare qualche dvd utilizzando direttamente l'explorer del sistema operativo....tutto ciò solo per poco tempo, infatti sono di nuovo nella stessa situazione.
