Starforce lancia la sfida ai critici

StarForce is announcing world wide contest among users of StarForce protected applications!!!

There have been a lot of rumors in the Internet concerning DVD/CD writers malfunction after installation and star-up of StarForce protected applications. Some have even mentioned that should such “malfunctioning” drive be placed in any other PC without StarForce protection installed it will fail to work as well.

In the past year our staff and many of our clients tried restlessly to reproduce the matter based on these rumors. Using our hardware collection we assembled systems alike, but such problems never took place.
Therefore, we have no proven facts of such issues and we have found out that all of these rumors are false.

We have serious reasons to believe that such problems are pure fiction.
However, if such problem does exist, it should be repeatable. Therefore, just to make sure, StarForce decided to have a worldwide contest among users of StarForce protected applications.

Anyone who can reproduce and demonstrate the mentioned above problem with CD/DVD drive in our office will receive $1000.00 US.

You should arrive in our office with your PC or use any of our PCs and reproduce the problem.

Here are the terms of the contest:

* All the drives in the system should be properly functioning prior to the installation of a StarForce protected product.

* After the installation and start-up of StarForce protected product the problem with (CD/DVD read-write malfunction) must exist and be reproduced in any other configuration.

If you can be the first to reproduce this situation in our office, we will be happy to award you with $1000.00 US, cover your trip to Moscow and pay 2 days’ lodging.

In parole povere,chiunque vuole,prende il suo PC a un viaggetto fino a Mosca,prova che il problema esiste e si porta a casa 1000$,le spese di viaggio e di permanenza per 2 giorni."Piccolo" dettaglio,che il problema deve essere replicabile con QUALSIASI configurazione

Penso per voi giocatori la notizia sarebbe stata interessante.

In che senso in TUTTE le configurazioni? Ma che cavolata è? Cioè se su 9 lettori su 10 il gioco non funziona ma in uno su 10 si.. non ti danno niente? Ma che vaccata

Ehi ragazzi, se mi trovate una persona che ha problemi di lavoro vi do 1000$, ma che sia un problema di tutti però eh!!

Oppure è come dire: Se c'è un dipendente scontento, gli do 1000$ a gratise.. ma dovrebbe essere scontento anche sotto tutti gli altri datori di lavoro del mondo!!

Penso che intendano che il DVD o masterizzatore,anche se provi di non funzionare, non deve funzionare con qualsiasi altra configurazione (hardware o software).Infatti è più una cosa pubblicitaria.

L'avevo letto ieri e ho riso mezz'ora. Pensavo ad un hoax... Probabilmente hanno perso la calma. Lollosa anche la cifra da barboni offerta, che denota ASSOLUTA certezza nella bontà del proprio lavoro.

considerano che la tecnologia starforce sia quella più costosa per le software house che la includono nei giochi,i 1000$ offerti sono indice di coda di paglia.
Evidentemente i giocatori stanno comprando meno prodotti con la loro firma;io in primis.

Io penso che lo fanno questo,perchè hanno avuto parecchia critica perfino da recensioni di giochi professionali e hanno pensato di passare al contrattacco.Visto che nessuno si prenderà il PC a viaggio fino a Mosca(come loro chiedono),una volta finito il "concorso",usciranno con un' ondata di pubblicità tipo "abbiamo sfidato il mondo e abbiamo vinto.Un prodotto di qualità superiore".Il bello non è solo il fatto della "ANY" configuration,ma anche il fatto che non dicono niente di una terza parte che funge da giudice.Cioè sono loro a decidere se il PC ha problema correlato a Starforce Troppo comodo.

Premesso che, per quanto mi riguarda, loro non esistono, come tutti i prodotti SW che hanno contaminato, dal punto di vista puramente commerciale credo sia un'azione molto scomposta e dagli esiti potenzialmente destabilizzanti. Se fossi stato uno di loro non avrei mai dato il consenso per un colpo di testa simile. Poi facciano pure quel che vogliono
