ubuntu e wireless?

ho un router dlink 604t e nn riesco a capire come fare per configurare questa wireless con Ubuntu5.04
ho provato a settare i parametri con nome wireless e ind ma niente!
serve qualcos'altro?
la mia scheda d rete è una PRISM 802.11 Adapter(3886)
scusate ma sono alle prime armi -

Esattamente che prism é la tua scheda wireless?
se vai in una finestra di terminale, da root digita: lsmod
e postaci quello che esce fuori.

Non so se ubuntu porta i drivers prism o se devi installarli a parte.
Visto che alla fine ubuntu sotto sotto é una debian, magari puoi dare un'occhiata qui:

e purtroppo ti dice sfiga... visto che sul sito www.prism54.org dice chiaramente:

Note: Support for Xbow/Javelin will not be supported anytime soon.

Il che significa che la tua scheda non funziona con i driver nativi prism per linux.

Peró a quanto pare dovresti avere piú successo usando ndiswrapper, che in pratica ti consente di usare i drivers windows sotto linux.
Ti consiglio di dare un´occhiata su http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m....php/Main_Page
per farti un´idea e vedere come si installa.
