Intervengo io e spero che cionci nonmi mandi a quel paese
Dai da shell:
sudo dpkg --clear-avail
sudo dpkg --forget-old-unavail
sudo apt-get clean
e poi riprova. Se ti dà ancora errore c'è un problema nel trasferimento files. Apri Synaptic e cambia i server da cui attingi pacchetti e liste.

Prima di tutto controlla che in Sistema->Amministrazione->Sorgenti Software
Controlla che siano selezionati tutti
A questo punto:

Chiudi e salva

Scusa, eri te che dicevi che i masterizzatori LG avevano problemi con linux?
In effetti con il masterizzatore di cd non mi dava problemi, mentre il nuovo masterizzatore dvd, non mi masterizza.
Domani provo a ricontrollare i cavi, ma credo siano a posto poichè comunque se metto smonta volume me lo butta fuori, ma non masterizza nulla. Mi da errore.

Per quanto riguarda quello che ti ho detto nell'altro post non ho capito cosa non ti torna.

Ecco cionci è che non ho capito se mi hai consigliato di spuntare tutte le voci che necessitano di spunta.

Comunque sono andato a vedere la situazione in "sorgenti sw" e ho spuntato tutto in "SW per Ubu", per la voce "scaricare da:" ogni volta che facevo "seleziona server migliore" me ne dava uno diverso, adesso sono con quello tedesco;
"SW di 3e parti", ho questo link http://packages.medibuntu.org/feisty free non-free:
"aggiornamenti per Ubu" ho spuntato anche "feisty backports"
"autenticazione"> fornitori di sw fidati> ho 3 chiavi.

Come faccio a cambiare i Server in Synaptics?

E bene fare il procedimento consigliato da Carciofone ad ogni tentativo di aggiornamento?

Very big problem!!!
E' già la seconda volta che mi accade. La prima ho reinstallato, ma non vorrei farlo di nuovo. Stavo aggiornando Kubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon coi pacchetti odierni mediante Adept. Invece di starmene buono buonino, ho aperto il browser e amsn che è andato in crash segnalando vari errori e tentando di spedire vari report. A quel punto, per non aggiornare con un programma in crash ho annullato il download di Adept (nulla era ancora stato installato) e sono uscito dall'utente tornando al login senza riavviare.
Da quel momento, pur immettendo la password viene schermata nera e poi nuovamente il login e non riesco più a rientrare.
Non ditemi che devo reinstallare perchè con tutte le personalizzazioni che ho fatto mi vien da piangere.
Da riga di comando come potrei recuperare?

Ma nulla è stato installato, il download non è manco finito. Il crash è precedente all'interruzione di adept.
Forse dowrei:
entrare in riga di comando
riuscire a connettere il pc col wireless (ma come faccio? prima usavo sempre il network manager...)
completare il download e l'installazione degli aggiornamenti.

Oppure tentare di resettare o ripristinare kde. era sempre andato...

Mi sa che sto facendo la fine di quello che aspetta la mano buona....

Hai capito perchè chiedevo se dovevo cautelarmi prima di tentare aggiornamenti a 7.10?
Purtroppo devo arrangiarmi con l'uccellulare speriamo che per l'anno nuovo ce la fanno ad arrivare con l'ADSL o il Wi-max.

Comunque ho installato(credo sempre dubitando dei pacchetti per via della connessione) ma ho ancora l'errore di prima nel visualizzare il filmato.
