TDK veloCD 24/10/40UE USB 2.0 su CDRLabs

CDRLabs, a <a href=http://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=108>questo indirizzo, </a> ha pubblicato la recensione di un masterizzatore esterno, TDK veloCD 24/10/40UE USB 2.0 CD-RW. 
Il masterizzatore è in grado di masterizzare CD-R alla velocità massima di 24X (valore eccellente per un dispositivo esterno), a patto che sia connesso al PC tramite porta USB 2.0.

Il dispositivo non è di tipo slim, ma consiste in uno chassis che contiene un normale masterizzatore di tipo "interno". 
Riportiamo di seguito i pregi ed i difetti riscontrati nell'arco della prova: 
Highs:

<li>The USB 2.0 interface makes the drive
extremely easy to install. 
<li>Good data transfer speeds with pressed and
CD-R media. 
<li>Features Sanyo's BURN-Proof and FlexSS-BP
technologies.&nbsp; 
<li>Very good looking drive.&nbsp;Small footprint
too. 
<li>Good DAE speeds. 
<li>Includes Ahead Software's Nero Burning Rom
5.5. 
<li>Very good retail package. It includes media,
software and even a CD labeling pen!</li>
</ul>
 Lows:
<ul>
<li>Does not read CD-RW discs as fast as pressed
or CD-R media. 
<li>Has a tendency to slow down when reading
pressed audio CD's.&nbsp; 
<li>Seek times are higher than other 24x writers.&nbsp; 
<li>Fairly loud when reading and writing CD's. 
<li>Poor performance when reading scratched and
dirty discs.</li>
