Intanto grazie a tori&mucche per la segnalazione del sito che non conoscevo (ci sono anche altri strumenti vedo)

Molti chitarristi neri non sono compresi in nessuna di queste tre classifiche; mi riferisco a quelli soul e funky degli anni 60, 70 e 80 e 90; quindi ci vorrebbe una quarta classifica (Soul/Funky/R&B).

Per il Jazz i nomi vanno benissimo

Mica tanto. Tra questi 100 mancano nomi importanti come Philip Catherine, Terje Rypdal, Oscar Aleman e Jay Graydon. Anche il chitarrismo free jazz e' sottovalutato: non ci sono Sonny Sharrock e Michael Gregory Jackson. Tra i sessionmen jazz e fusion mancano nomi importanti come Eric Gale e Cornell Dupree.
Chitarristi brasiliani come Baden Powell, Bola Sete, Guinga, Toninho Horta, Ricardo Silveira ed Egberto Gismonti e Laurindo Almeida non possono mancare tra i primi 100. Poi pero' c'e' Pat Metheny al secondo posto assoluto (che esagerazione), che ha preso molto dalla musica brasiliana... Mah...
Non c'e' neanche una donna: almeno Monnette Sudler l'avrei imserita.
E non c'e nessun chitarrista new age (Widham Hill per capirsi)

Troppi bianchi nelle prime posizioni jazz!

Per quanto riguarda le posizioni. Frisell, Hall e Carlton non sono assolutamente da primi 10 posti; molto incensati dalla critica, ma li sostituirei con George Benson, Robben Ford e Tal Farlow che hanno carriere di maggiore importanza e maggiore valore artistico.

Golub e Hunter non sono da primi venti
Ralph Towner e Barney Kessel decisamente si

Norman Brown e Earl Klugh non li inserirei mai tra i primi 100.
