Is there any de-bricking information anywhere? I have a fully bricked dgn3500 with no bootloader (all I get is

) as I wrote in my serial console (with USB to serial cable) a command that overwrote the u-boot bootloader with the firmware amod I uploaded. Is there any u-boot version available for uploading? What is the method used?

riguardo gli AP se rimani in casa Netgear ci sono il diffuso wn802t oppure il meno diffuso ma valido (ne ho avuto sotto mano uno con ottime prestazioni) wnap210

I bought a dgn3500 a year ago and it showed a rock solid ability to resist to all my attempts to brick it. So, I am sorry, but I don't have any information about how to serial debrick it.

How did you manage to clear the uboot partition?

Does the power led flash when you switch on pressing the reset button? I mean, did you try the usual Netgear recover utility?

Hello alfie, I am from Greece and I love your amod firmware. If you have some time it seems you are the only one who has enough knowledge to help me. If you have time to read you will help me unbrick my dgn3500. Here's the whole story:

- I flashed 9.2 and up to 9.2.4 amod was working perfectly on the router. Then I tried 9.2.7 and I was left with a blinking red and green router i.e. firmware problem. Did not try any utility after that as there was no utlity available on the cd that came with the router. Keeping the reset button while turning on the router simply produced alternate red and green flashes instantly (if I did not press reset then the alternate colors appeared after a while, learned later that the router was going into a sercomm WEB_DL mode waiting for something which caused the alternate colors)

- I got a serial cable, soldered the pins and got a serial console. I was lucky enough to press CTRL+BREAK in the u-boot and somehow the WEB_DL mode was bypassed and 9.2.7 appeared as a working interface. Not all the pages were working (some had a message please let the router finish booting or something) but the firmwware upgrade page was working so I flashed the original .33. Happy again.

- Immediately after I tried installing through the firmware uprade page amod 9.2.9, and BAM router bricked again. I started to suspect that either my flash is corrupt (not so possible on a 2 year model and after only about 10 flashes or so) or my u-boot is corrupt. Anyway back to console

- This time I wasn't so lucky. The router had gone in an infinite loop, giving a message kernel panick and rebooting endlessly - power led constantly orange. I interrupted boot by pressing a key and uploaded by the tftpboot command the original firmware. But I didn't know how to write the flash from RAM. So I searched through the environment variables of u-boot and found out that maybe "update" was for me. I was so wrong!!
from the wiki update=protect off 1:0-2;era 1:0-2;cp.b 80500000 0x0 $(filesize). Maybe 80500000 is the u-boot partition, thought it was the mtd1 KFS partition.

- "run update" command flashed the u-boot memory area and now I am left with a router without u-boot. I know I should have asked first about the correct memory address I should have "cp.b"ed the firmware from RAM, but now all I am left with is a u-boot with only:
ROM VER: 1.1.3
CFG 05

Is there a hope to reflash u-boot or should I forget the whole thing? I know JTAG is not an option as there is no such port. Maybe if I y-modem a u-boot image ?

Ciao ragazzi, premetto che ho provato a cercare nella discussione con le parole chiave "1.00.33 emule", ma il search non mi trova nulla...

Praticamente il problema è che mi hanno sostituito il router e quello in sostituzione ha l'ultimo fw con le impostazioni delle regole del firewall diverse dalla 1.00.28. Io credo di avere configurato tutto correttamente, nel senso che il test delle porte di emule lo passa sia per il TCP che per l'UDP, ma ciononostante non si connette alla rete Kad (i server non li uso). Il semaforo rimane rosso.
Ovviamente prima andava tutto bene!
Anche l'IP è corretto, perchè ho assegnato al portatile l'ip fisso 192.168.0.2 ed appunto questo ho messo nelle regole.
La versione di eMule che uso è l'ultima MorphXT, ma ho provato anche con l'ultima versione stock.

I am very truly sorry, but I have no knowledge about your problem. I really have no idea about how to help you. It seems like you simple lost the uboot. If so, there is no command to be given, no console to write commands in, so I don't see anything that could be possibly done.

ragazzi per favore potete aiutarmi?? ho due router in casa il dgn 3500 e un tp link TD-W8960N. vorrei usare il dgn solo come modem e il tp link come router. nel dgn ho fleshato il firmwere amod dove ho visto che si puo settarlo solo in funzione modem, non so se questa impostazione serve al mio scopo.. cmq in ogni caso poi come dorei fare??

il tp-link ha una porta "wan"? se si, imposti il 3500 come modem e lo connetti alla porta wan del tplink

altrimenti non si può fare

in ogni caso, pensi che il tplink sia meglio del 3500 con amod?

Salve Ragazzi,
posseggo il modem in oggetto del thread con linea alice, firmware 1.0.33.

Fino ad una quindicina di giorni fa nessun problema, ma adesso il modem soffre di 3-5 perdite della linea al giorno, senza alcun apparente motivo. Vorrei sapere se qualcuno ha mai avuto questo problema, se avete consigli e/o soluzioni per affrontare il problema.

seondo me è il margine di rumoin upload che è trooppo basso e la fa cadere dovrebbe essere superiore ai 12 db.. a me capita la stesssa cosa sto maledetto upload è balllrino e mi fa cadere la linea sopratutto quando chiamo perche si abbassa troppo snr del up

Comunque non mi spiego perchè il problema sia comparso solo adesso visto che i parametri son sempre stati paragonabili a questi e le disconnessioni son cominciate solo qualche settimana fà.

Idee sul da farsi? Consigli?

Ok grazie, prima di scatenare l'inferno volevo accertarmi che il problema non fosse un bug conosciuto del modem o qualcosa del genere

tu controlla sei il valore dell snr sia in up o in down varia ha dei picchi .. nn so alzando la cornetta ecc

almeno a me capita cosi.. ho snr del upload che balla continuamente.. poi quando alzo la cornetta scende tantissimo anche di 5 db e cade... cosa che non è mai successa in passato.. chissa cos è
