Caso curioso: HANDY BACKUP

salve a tutti,

non so se usate Handy Backup...è un davver un ottimo software, ma cercando gli aggiornamenti mi sono inbattuto in un caso davvero sorprendente.

poi c'è quest'altra societa' russa che ha copiato TUTTO: programma, sito prodotto, sito societa':
http://www.novosoft-usa.com/
http://www.handybackup.net/

com'è possibile tutto cio'? come possono continuare a svolgere normalmente la loro attivita'? Forse essendo in russia son meno attaccabili?

Tempo fa chiesi spiegazioni alla casa originale e mi risposero cosi':

Recently we have noticed a certain activity of a group of people who are
involved in an unfair business targeted against our company.
Specifically, a web site at <www.handybackup.net> contains marketing
content that infringes our copyrights. The web site belongs to a Russian
company named Novosoft LLC, which is not anyhow related to Novosoft Inc.
This company promotes and sells Handy Backup product which is a copy of
one of the old versions of our software with the same name.

I must inform you that Handy Backup v4.1 presented at
<www.handybackup.net> is a clone of an older version of Handy Backup
(presumably, Handy Backup 3.5). This lower-quality clone version is
distributed illegally under the trademark of Novosoft Inc., so we highly
recommend you not to use this software. Now we are taking necessary
steps against this illegal distribution of our product.

We cannot guarantee performance of this software and provide technical
support for it. Please use Handy Backup v4.0 from our official site
http://www.handybackup.com.

Novosoft Inc. is a corporation organized and existing under the Laws of
the State of Texas, USA, with its place of business at 3803 Mount
Bonnel, Austin, TX 78731, USA. It is the only legal owner of Handy
Backup product and related content. Novosoft Inc. has been using the
Handy Backup mark in the international commerce since at least as early
as February 2002. This fact can be verified by comparing the
registration date of our domain www.handybackup.com and
www.handybackup.net. You will see that .com was registered far earlier.

Please let me know if the information I provided is sufficient. If you
have further questions concerning the program, I will be happy to
assist.
