Sony DCR-HC40 NTSC to PAL ?

Per chi avesse letto il mio precedente topic, c'è stata una conclusione a sorpresa: mia madre ha deciso di comprare comunque la versione NTSC di questa videocamera anche se c'era quella PAL.

Oggi me l'ha portata ed è stupenda, non mi da nessun problema ed ha una elevata qualità di ripresa.

Sono molto soddisfatto.

Ora il punto è: qualcuno mi accennava che in parecchie telecamere si può taroccare il bios e impostarle come pal, cosa che mi servirebbe per poter trasferire i film da vhs e i programmi tv a pc tramite la telecamera.

Does your television supports NTSC\PAL dual systems?

If not, then your option is limited to an NTSC to PAL converter.
This is from the UK, closer to Italy but very expensive. In the United States, the price is 50% less than that.

certo negli usa è tutto più grande più bello e costa meno.
oggi ho preso 2500$ e per ogni Euro mi hanno dato 1,32 $

my tv and my graphic card supports both NTSC and PAl.

I only want to know if i can access into the bios of the camera and change NTSC to PAL, as you can do with other camcorders using some utilities.

I want to do this because i would use the function to copy VHS to pc with the camcorder, but my VCR outputs video in PAL mode and the camcorder want it in NTSC mode ^^

Do you have the manual?

Can you find any reference about the word "PAL" on the manual, menus, camcord, or the box?

I am not sure what you mean by BIOS, do you mean firmware?

As far as I know, this model supports the NTSC system only and nothing can be changed.

Bring it back in Dallas, I give you $20 dollars for it!
