Succedanei di una scheda di airport classic?
Come tutti sapranno apple è passata a extreme, mollando la produzione di schedine classic, facendo sì che i prezzi siano schizzati verso l'alto. Avrei pensato quindi di provare con qualcosa di esterno, e ho trovato una chiavetta usb che supporta il protocollo wireless b, ma ovviamente asus dichiara solamente il supporto per windows. Mi pare però che tali chiavi siano plug&play, quindi potrebbero funzionare anche con mac. Qualcuno ha mai provato??

garding Carl Foner's attempt to use the Netgear WG511 Wireless card: Only PC cards using the Broadcom chipset will work with the native Apple Airport software. According to the excellent and comprehensive chipset listing compiled by [AbsoluteValue Systems: .gz File], the Netgear WG511 uses the Prism chipset and will not work with Airport 3.1.
Using the above source, the only cards known to use the Broadcom chipset are (I did not include cards with question marks): Alloy WLF245401 Apple Airport Extreme Asante AL 5402-XG Askey WLC3010 Asus WL-103b Asus WL-100G Belkin F5D7010 Bromax WE602B e altre. E pare che la wl-161 in vendita ora abbia una ltro chip
