Aiuto ragazzi devo resettare la password del bios di un vecchio HP Omnibook 6000, qualcuno ha gia' avuto esperienze in merito?
Ho tolto la batteria del cmos, ho aspettato un paio d'ore, ma all'avvio mi chiede sempre la password.
Non trovo il jumper CLEAR CMOS....

Ok esistono i software, ma il mio sistema (anche se da floppy non ho ancora provato...) mi chiede la password all'avvio, quindi non credo di riuscire a far leggere il contenuto del floppy..

Ma allora ti serve la password di sistema (non quella del bios..... o per lo meno, non solo quella...).

If you forget your password, Hewlett-Packard has a procedure to allow you to remove it.
There is a master password that will unlock each HP Omnibook PC.
You must call Technical Support and give acceptable proof-of-ownership of the HP Omnibook PC.
The fact that the HP Omnibook PC is in the hands of an HP representative is not evidence of
ownership. In addition, HP will not remove a password from an HP Omnibook PC for anyone other
than the owner, even if it involves law enforcement agencies.

The password removal program for the HP Omnibook PCs is protected as HP Company Confidential
information. This program may not be copied, backed-up, printed or distributed. The number of
password removal programs worldwide is very limited. Each time the program is used, the owner’s
name, the HP Omnibook PC’s serial number, and the date and time are recorded. This log is
subject to HP’s standard record-retention process and review.

Praticamente, dovresti contattare un centro HP che, previa verifica dell'acquisto regolare del note, dovrebbe fornirti una sorta di master password.
