qualcuno di voi conosce un programma per leggere i file .FOT (si tratta di file di un GIS)?

...nn ho capito bene cosa sia Gis...ma i file Fot dovrebbero èssere dei vecchi formati di Win 3x per i font.

GIS= Geographc Information System

per i FOT, mi sa che sono formati proprietari di un gis, non sono standard, in ogni caso ti ci vuole un programma gis per vederli, non credo ci siano visualizzatori

hai provato a vedere se GRASS li apre?

io lo uso per linux, non so se sia free su win

Esiste il grass pure per windows ed è gratuito. http://grass.ibiblio.org/wingrass.html

Summary
ArcView uses the TrueType Fonts loaded in the Fonts folder on your computer. Each TrueType font has two associated files, a .TTF and a .FOT. ArcView automatically reads these files and adds them to the list of available fonts in the Symbol tool.

Procedure

1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel. Open the fonts folder.
2. Double-click the Fonts folder.
3. On the Fonts window, click File > Install New Font. The Add Fonts dialog box will prompt you to navigate to the current location of font files to install.
4. Navigate to the font files and click the OK button. Your new font will installed, and recognized by ArcView.

Many vendors offer customized TrueType Font packages that you can purchase and download from the Web.

dipende, alcune estensioni sono condivise da più formati di programmi


in effetti cmq non dovrebbero essere di un gis, almeno io non le ho mai viste lavorando con grass
