Nero non masterizza più!

Ho aggiornato il firmware del mio Lite-On 48x12x48 (LTR 48125W) e Nero ha smesso di fungere... Non riesce a finire il Lead in o a eseguire il fine traccia. A volte si pianta perché non mi chiude i CD (fallisce il Lead out). Non so più cosa fare...
All'inizio sembrava fossero i driver IDE, poi quando li ho disinstallati e rimesso quelli di Windows (uso xp pro) tutto pareva andare "abbastanza" bene. Ora dopo aver aggiornato il firmware all'ultima versione, VS0D, me li spu***na tutti.
Qualche suggerimento?
Tra l'altro sembra che il controller creda che il masterizzatore sia SCSI.
