Sono Disperato!!

Ho montato la scheda madre Asus a7n8x-x, il processore 2500+ su alimentatore 400w.
La scheda si accende!!!
Se uso una tnt2 su schermo non appare nulla.
Ho riprovato con una 9800SE e su schermo mi compare la scritta Cmos Error....flash bios...
inizia a cercare in a: anche se il floppy è staccato, ma non cerca nulla.....è come se fosse bloccato.

Cosa posso fare aiutatemi! Sono triste!
Inoltre a volte la schermata viene a volte non manda neanke l'impulso al monitor!!!

Che sia questione di jumper!!!

Non so risponderti,ma prova a fare un a ricerca,non è il primo caso di problemi di bios delle mamme con nforce2.

Hallo Community,

ich habe folgendes Problem. Gestern habe ich einen neuen Rechner zusammengeschraubt. Alle Komponenten richtig eingebaut, gebootet... kein POST-Beep. Nochmal gebootet... jetzt kommt er. Ins Bios, ein paar Grundeinstellungen (Boot-Reihenfolge) vorgenommen, wollte speichern, eingefroren. Also Reset, wieder kein POST. Das Spielchen ging dann eine ganze Weile so weiter, zwischendurch konnte ich dann mal den FSB von 100 auf 133 MHz setzen (Bios zeigte immer 1.100 MHz Prozessor anstatt Athlon XP 2500+ mit 1.833 MHz an). Doch irgendwann dann kam nur noch ein Bildschirm mit

und nichts weiter passierte. Diskettenlaufwerk leuchtete zwar, aber auf eine später testweise eingelegte Diskette hat der Rechner nicht zum Lesen zugegriffen...

Grds. gibt es ja bei Asus Boards die Möglichkeit, so das CMOS mit nem neuen Bios auszustatten, aber wie muss ich dass denn dann machen?

Wäre sehr froh, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte, ist ein nagelneues Board

Beim Booten wird der BIOS-Code zunächst in den RAM kopiert; dann wird aus dieser RAM-Kopie eine Prüfsumme berechnet, die mit einer im Flash-Chip abgelegten verglichen wird, Stimmen diese beiden Prüfsummen nicht überein, so bekommst du besagte Meldung zu sehen.
Diese Meldung kann demnach zwei grundlegend unterscghiedliche Ursachen haben:
1) RAM defekt oder überfordert, was dann beim Berechnen der Prüfsumme zu Datenfehlern und daher Abweichungen in der Prüfsumme führt;
2) defekter BIOS-Code oder defekter BIOS-Chip.
Du solltest Deinen RAm einmal in einem anderen Rechner testen - wenn er hier problemlos läuft, dann ist der RAM in Ordnung. Weiterhin solltest Du den RAM aus diesem anderen Rechner einmal in deiner Maschine laufen lassen - wenn der Fehler dann immer noch auftritt, dann ist entweder das Board oder der BIOS-Code beschädigt; tritt der Fehler nicht mehr auf, dann verträgt sich Dein Board einfach nicht mit Deinem RAM.
Wenn Du von einem defekten Board oder BIOS-Code ausgehen kannst, dannkommt jetzt die Reparatur per Diskette: Du benötigst eine DOS-Bootdiskette, auf der sich nur die für DOS absolut nötigen Dateien befinden (z.B. die "DR-DOS 7 Disk for Flashing BIOS" von www.bootdisk.com ). Auf diese Diskette gehören dann das DOS-Flashtool und das gewünschte BIOS-Image kopiert; weiterhin brauchst Du auf dieser Diskette noch eine autoexec.bat, die das Flashtool startet und das BIOS ohhne irgendwelche Rückfragen beim Benutzer beschreibt (siehe Doku zum Flashtool). Den Rechner mit dieser Diskette im Laufwerk booten.
Tritt danach das Problem immer noch auf, so ist entweder das Board oder der Flash-Chip defekt -> Chip austauschen (kostet je nach Chip schon mal etwas Geld, weiterhin musst Du den Chip VOR dem Einbau in das Board beschrieben (lassen), da der Rechner sonst kein BIOS hat und folglich auch nicht booten kann) oder Board umtauschen.

aus Erfahrung weiss ich inzwischen, dass die auf dem A7N8X verbauten BIOS-Chips u. U. Probleme bereiten. Daher jetzt meine Frage: Wie heißt der Chip? Die Bezeichnung findest du unter dem BIOS-Aufkleber auf dem Chipgehäuse. Der BIOS-Aufkleber darf gerne entsorgt werden, er ist so wichtig, wie ein Reklameschild...

Die Bezeichnung könnte so lauten: PMC (Hersteller), Pm 49FL002T oder SST 49LF020. Poste das mal hier oder schreibe mich direkt an (ist besser, ich habe nicht immer Zeit fürs Forum *g*).

Are you saying you get only:

1. Bios rom checksum error

Or both: Award Bios Boot Block Error (Bios rom checksum error)

2. or you have no video, or

3. you have an ISA slot, and you used an ISA video card (and you removed
your normal video card) to boot with, and saw a message like this:

Award Boot Block Bios V1.0
BIOS Rom Checksum error

Or what? You must state your situation.

1. - you only need to replace your motherboard battery, or your RTC if you can't see a battery. Everything will be fine once you do.Note that battery voltage may seem okay, but it may be too weak to flash the bios - replace it if it is easy to do.


2. - see section about flashing bios even if you have no video, but only after you check out all the other suggested things that could be wrong.

3. - check out all the other suggested things that could be wrong. If that does not help, then do a normal bios flash, or an automatic bios flash as suggested.

SOLUZIONE
You may not need a new bios, try this:

My error: Bios was corrupted, wanted bootable floppy, would not let me enter file name of .bin file, said "source file not found" and then just got a blinking cursor and a dead keyboard. I tried many things until I found this solution:

Make a DOS bootable floppy with ONLY awdflash.exe FROM THE ORIGINAL motherboard CDROM and the same BIOS .bin file that was on the motherboard when it got corrupted.

NEXT - because this still did not work because although the BIOS seemed OK, the computer would not boot past POST -- I had to go into the AWARD BIOS and load setup defaults. After that, it would boot, I could go into BIOS and change things as I wished.

All of these steps are essential. My problem was, I was using the AWDFLASH.EXE which I downloaded for my specific motherboard from ASUS. The file was different than the one on the CDROM (I checked with fc.exe). That did the trick.

I ater used ALT-F2 during boot and updated to the current BIOS for my motherboard successfully.

Hai provato a fare quello che hai postato?

Crea un floppy boot senza autoexec.bat e config.sys e ci copi sopra l'awdflash.exe che c'è sul CD della scheda madre e il BIOS originale. All'avvio credo dovresti premere ALT+F2

Occhio che potresti aver inserito al contrario il cavo del floppy.
Prova a girarlo e vedi se riesce a aggiornare il bios.
La TNT2 è troppo vecchia, non è compatibile con questa mobo.

Ma è possibile che mi dia un errore del genere (scheda nuova)!!!
Inoltre se provo a resettare il bios (clear cmos)...
Avevo provato per 10 sec....ma ho sentito dire che ci vogliono almeno 4-5 min??? può essere????

Ci vogliono 4-5 o anche + min se non hai il jumper e puoi solo rimuovere la batteria, perchè si devono scaricare i condensatori che alimentano il CMOS.
