Che cos'è il 'message ID' negli headers dell'email?
A che serve? Si può identificare l'autore, la macchina, o il software? Me lo chiedo perché è una sigla alfanumerica abbastanza astrusa... mica la generano solo il clients di posta di MS?

Viene assegnato dal server smtp dal quale parte il messaggio... non quindi dal pc che l'ha inviato.. Se tu hai un account tipo [email protected] e mandi un messaggio a [email protected]
Quando tu invii un messaggio (es con outlook) imposti From: To: Date: X-Mailer (facoltativo) Subject: Il server tin.it ci aggiunge: Received: Message-ID: Il server di arrivo (libero.it) aggiunge una ulteriore riga Received (idem tutti i server di transito intermedi).
