Dal forum USA Hercules

New drivers (version 6.09) are now available on the Hercules US site (other regions will made available later).
Fortissimo II series
GTXP series
Fortissimo III 7.1
Digifire 7.1

Win 98SE/ ME/ 2000/ XP
(v4101 , CPL v1.33)

- With DLS soundbanks(Version 6.09): for users who wish to use the cards hardware synthetiser and MIDI soundbanks features of the card for music production.
This version adds a tab in the control panel to customize the synth and MIDI settings.
Bigger download.
- Without DLS soundbanks (Version 6.09a) : for most users.
The control panel doesn't feature the tab mentionned above.
Smaller download.

INSTALLATION Procedure
- Download the appropriate driver package.
- If you are running WINDOWS XP, make sure your network cable is physically disconnected from the computer and remains so until drivers are fully installed .This is to prevent Windows Update from simultaneously upgrading your drivers.
- Uninstall previous drivers.
- Launch the installation package (Files will be copied to C:\Program files\hercules\ audio\Crystal Sound cards
- Follow the instructions.

Fixes:
- Corrected the AC-3 Digital output when using Power DVD. -Fixed false detection of internet connection due to proxy server settings during the installation phase.
Pending bugs
These issues are known and will addressed in future releases.
- Minidisc mode is not functional for the Fortissimo II, under all Os. Workaround: manually mute all analog inputs.
FOR THE DLS "edition"
- New DLS sound banks can't be loaded under Win98 SE/ ME for all cards. The included default bank is fully functional

E' stato migliorato il supporto all'audio ac3. Con le z-680 non sento più i fastidiosi bump.

Mi ha dato un errore durante l'installazione, ma oltre a questo non ho avuto nessun problema, e funziona tutto, ho solo dovuto riavviare la macchina.

Mi sembra migliorata la qualità di riproduzione degli AC3, ma forse è solo un impressione.

Hai veramente ragione, le schede audio nel nostro paese sono veramente l'ultimo pensiero, c'è gente che chiede se è possibile mettere le proprie Sound Blaster 16 nel nuovo pc che stanno comprando

mi dice di disistallare i driver della fortissimo II (che e la scheda che ho) per mettere i "CRYSTAL suond ..."

da dove esce la cristal !!??

che faccio disistallo e lancio il setup !!??

Cristal sound è il nome del chip (abbreviato CS, CS4630, CS4624).
Quando si installano nuovi driver è SEMPRE buona norma disinstallare quelli vecchi

Anche perche li disinstalla automaticamente l'installer dei driver Hercules

Ragazzi secondo voi una Fortissimo II 6.1 è una buona scheda da affiancare a casse Creative 5300/5500 o Logitech z-640?
