Secondo me la produzione di massa sarà proprio in quei mesi. Secondo me è sempre stato programamto per quei mesi. Alla fine è lo stesso periodo della diffusione di massa delle schede video nVidia(basta guardare GF2-3-4). Che poi qualche modello si riuscirà a trovarlo prima è un altro discorso. Ma la produzione di massa è quella che è.

Esce la gf FX tutti son lì a rimirarla ma il prezzo è alto, arriva la 350 con il suo prezzo di concorrenza e la spazza via, a meno che non esca una revisione dell'nv30 tipo gf 4200, prezzo entry level grandi possibilità di overclock e quindi successone

GeForceFX Rumors Mill:
As the GeForceFX, hopefully, gets closer to becoming a reality we are hearing more and more about it through the grapevine. The first issue, and one that I think many folks want to know, is, "How much is this thing going to cost?" This is what one leading retailer is telling us this morning.

As you can see the list price is of this "PNY FX5800 GeForce Ultra" is US$499.99 according to the CompUSA as of this morning. While this is the retail pricing we have been hearing from more than one source, I really just don't see it being a reality for long, if at all. It seems to me that the $399.99 price point is what is now acceptable with consumers that buy the newest VidCards on the market and I think NVIDIA would be stirring the pot by charging $500 for a card that is long overdue. Still you have to put "supply and demand" into the mix with any product, and the supply of GFFX cards is something that will certainly be of interest.

The first GeForceFX cards you will see on the market will likely look the same. Wait, they are likely to look identical. From what we are hearing from multiple sources, NVIDIA will be handling the building of the first GeForceFX cards that will be sold in retail. We are not sure whether NVIDIA is going to be doing this in order to control the quantities, the quality, or simply because the card is so complex that many folks will take too long to get a solid product out the manufacturing door. Of course, some combination of those factors is more likely than simply one of them.

Now the down side to that is you will be getting a card that will not be differentiated from any of the others out there. The up sides? Expect freebies thrown into the mix to get your business and also expect to get an extremely well built product, as NVIDIA will not be cutting corners on these cards. Yes, the first GFFX cards are likely to be the best ones made in terms of quality.

We are still hearing late February or early March for delivery. It seems to us that early March is highly more likely.

So the bottom line is this. Expect to be able to pre-buy the cards soon and possibly pay US$400 for it, but do not expect to actually get delivery till March. Also expect what you get to be the "reference board" as the first GFFX cards will all be vanilla flavor but made by NVIDIA.
