Maxtor Acustic Mode (Silent Store)
Ciao a tutti, ho un Maxtor 6L040J2 da 40Gb 7200rpm... ieri girando sul sito di Maxtor ho notato che questo hdd supporta l'Acustic Mode o Silent Store... per renderlo meno rumoroso... però ho anche letto che questo "silenziamento" dell'hdd comporta anche una perdità della performance del disco stesso... è vero e in che percentuale si aggira il decadimento delle prestazioni? Ok! ho fatto alcuni test con PcMark 2002...
766 pt. Quiet Mode 774 pt. OFF Mode 783 pt. Fast Mode personalmente non ho notato grossi rallentamenti... anzi sinceramente l'unica cosa che è sensibilmente cambiata è il "rumore" dell'hdd... davvero più silent...
