Problema installazione driver R300 Nvidia "errore programma installazione nvidia"

Allora è da un po' di tempo che mi compare questo problema quando tento di installare i nuovi driver (301.42 mi pare, gli R300 cmq) di Nvidia, parte l'installazione e a un certo punto si ferma e mi dice semplicemente "errore programma installazione nvidia"...



Configurazione PC:
PSU: Corsair gs600 600 watt
RAM: 8 gb ddr2 Corsair xms2 DHX
HD: primario seagate 1tb, secondario western digital 2tb, sataII
CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q8300 @2,50ghz
MoBo: Asrock P5BDE
SK Audio: Creative soundblaster X-Fi titanium fatal1ty pro
Sk Video: Zotac Nvidia geforce gtx560 ti 2gb PCI-E OcCata (Core 905, shader 1810, memory 2200) con MSI Afterburner
OS: Win7 Ultimate x64 (64 bit)

già provato:
-pulizia in modalità provvisoria con driver sweeper (che ora si chiama "Driver Fusion" )
-installazione pulita
-rimozione della scheda da gestione hardware, riavvio, e reinstallazione driver
-Wise Registry cleaner
-RegSeeker
-disattivasione MSI afterburner e antivirus durante l'installazione/rimozione vecchi driver
-far partire l'installer come admin

il tutto come risultato di non riuscire ad installare i driver oltre i 296.10, non so più dove sbattere la testa...e leggendo in rete non trovo una soluzione e la cosa che mi fà incaxxare è che sono pure un tecnico di PC e non riesco a risolvere 'sta cosa...ci sarebbe il format come ultima risorsa ma vorrei evitare in quanto il tutto è stabile e funziona a meraviglia, solo non mi installa i driver...

I driver sono giusti (modello scheda e os 64bit), scaricati direttamente dal sito Nvidia

Temperature nella norma, mai avuto altri problemi (crash, sfarfallamenti, ecc) e non ho assolutamente toccato i voltaggi lasciando quelli di default

hai provato a farlo anche in modalità provvisoria?
Cioè modalità provvisoria, poi in gestione dispositivi e poi aggiorna driver

RISOLTO! Ora vi spiego come, nel caso aveste lo stesso problema:

Operazioni preliminari: andate in C: (o comunque nel vostro hd primario) e cancellate la cartella NVIDIA, svuotate il cestino e siete pronti!

-Installate driver genius 10 (non 11, il 10 mi raccomando)
-avviatelo, aggiornate il database e fate la scansione dei driver non aggiornati
-scaricate e installate il driver da driver genius selezionando INSTALLAZIONE PERSONALIZZATA --> INSTALLAZIONE PULITA E TOGLIETE LA SPUNTA AL PROGRAMMA DI AGGIORNAMENTO NVIDIA

io così ho risolto, senza bisogno di driver sweeper e amenicchi vari. Spero che sia utile a qualcuno
