Info: quale CPU con una MB con chipset Intel® Q965 Express con ICH8

Ciao a tutti,

Ho un PC Dell Optiplex 745 che monta una piastra Intel® Q965 Express con ICH8, mi è stato regalato, e senza processore... ed io non sò cosa comprare per struttarlo nei VideoGame (PES e SC2), sul video ho già scelto (ovv il video integrato fà ridere) ma sulla CPU ho grosse difficoltà non essendo aggiornato sul mercato...

Pensavo di spendere al massimo 150€

cosa mi suggerite per giocare? ma sopratutto, con cosa è compatibile questa piastra?

un q6600, anche usato secondo me è perfetto per quel chipset...okkio però al bios, puo essere che non è aggiornato per determinate cpu...quindi ti converrebbe prima vedere che bios è e poi scaricare l'ultima versione...
come te anche io recentemente ho dovuto cercare una cpu sock 775 per una mobo con chipset g31...alla fine ho preso un e6300 e l'ho portato a 320x7...tanto il pc andava in un ufficio per applicazioni office e cad...piu che sufficiente dunque...ma nel tuo caso visto che hai ha disposizione un buon budget e vuoi utilizzare il tuo sistema per uso gaming, ti consiglio di prendere un quad...un q6600 come ti dicevo va piu che bene...o anche un e6600 puo andare bene...

il problema e che nel sito della DELL non trovo dove vengono descritte le compatibilità della MB con le CPU... alcune info le ho trovate sul sito della INTEL

e nella lista (che ti copio) non mi sembra che si sia la CPU consigliata (ma magari sbaglio)

Mi rispondo da solo, magari aiuto a far risparmiare soldi a qualcuno con il mio problema...

NON comprate queste CPU su questo (e forse altri) Optiplex, il BIOS Dell è lockato su la CPU di default, neanche dopo un clean di CMOS, batteria tampone, Bios ecc ecc funziona, ovviamente i BIOS Dell non le fanno andare... forse l'unica soluzione è un BIOS "artigianale" ma ovviamente non l'ho trovato...
