Ubuntu 10.10: problema con ethernet atheros L2

ciao,

ho avuto l'infelice idea di aggiornare ubuntu 10.04 a 10.10 e ora la connessione ethernet è instabile.
Il chipset in questione è un atheros L2, al boot del pc tutto funziona correttamente per circa 30 minuti poi si freeza la connessione ethernet.

Per far ripartire tutto devo disabilitare la connessione ethernet e riattivarla: a questo punto si ripete quanto sopra.

Qualcuno sa aiutarmi nel risolvere il problema?

Tu avevi cambiato cavi o altro contestualmente all'upgrade?
Al limite prova anche a cambiare porta sullo switch.

Se invece si tratta proprio di un problema sofware, allora non so che dirti.
In passato avevo avuto problemi con una SiS 190 che era la progenie di Satana ed avevo aggiunto una Realtek da 5 euro per eliminare il problema alla radice.

Ho provato a cambiare sia porta che cavo e provata la stessa porta+cavo con un altro pc: il problema sembra proprio SW:-(
Quello che non capisco è perché salti solo dopo parecchi minuti.

Purtroppo aggiungere una scheda di rete non è possibile: il pc in questione è uno di quei micro-pc senza slot pci disponibili.

Mi sapete dire dove posso segnalare il bug?
