Stupido eseguibile!

Ho un problema:
devo scaricare una versione di windows7 (versione per studenti universitari msdnaa) ma il sito non rilascia subito la iso, bensi mi dà un eseguibile .exe che fa partire il download...
come ne vengo fuori???

For MacOSX, look at http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX/Installing or http://davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/ for information on installing wine.

Once installed, run the Downloader .EXE with the wine command, for example:

wine Downloader_for_Windows_7_Pro_RTM_x86_en.exe

This will install itself and download the ISO image file in "C:\Temp" by default. This corresponds to wine directory "~/.wine/drive_c/Temp" on Linux (and probably the same on a Mac).

After the ISO image has downloaded, look in ~/.wine/drive_c/Temp for a directory containing it. You can terminate the Download .EXE and burn the ISO image file to DVD or move it to somewhere convenient on your Linux or Mac system. (The ISO image for Windows 7, for example, is 2.4 GBytes in size, so make sure you've got enough room).

Note that you may not need to burn the DVD. Virtualisation software such as VirtualBox or VMWare server can often use an ISO image on the host operating system as a virtual DVD drive.
