Scheda rete gigabit su bus pci
Ciao a tutti, mi chiedevo: se inserisco una scheda di rete gigabit su slot pci (no pci express), la scheda funziona effettivamente a 1000Mbit/s oppure è limitata dalla frequenza del bus pci (che non ricordo quanto è).

Il bus PCI standard dovrebbe permettere una banda passante di 133 MB/s, quindi sufficiente per gestire il scheda di rete gigabit. Dopotutto sugli slot PCI si possono installare i controller per i dischi fissi PATA, che avevano appunto velocità teoriche massime di 133 MB/s.
